"Ray Pov"
As we approached the building, a sense of unease washed over me. "By the way guys... are we forgetting something important here? Like, oh I don't know, the fact that we're completely unarmed and they might have guns with them? Just a thought." I said, trying to keep my voice steady.
Ashu and Cale immediately stopped in their tracks and turned to face me. "Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that," Cale said, slapping his forehead. "Me too, ha-ha…," Ashu added.
"Well, we better come up with a plan fast, before they realize we're here and we'll be sitting ducks," I said, trying to keep a straight face. Ashu suggested, "I know, let's just run in there and hope for the best!" I exclaimed, and we all burst out laughing. But we knew it was no laughing matter.
"Just kidding, first we need weapons. Where do we find it?" Ashu asked, all trace of humour gone from his voice. Cale suggested, "The guild has a store, we can use that to equip ourselves." I asked, "Where?" Cale replied, "Inside the guild."
With no other options, we made our way back to the guild and asked the bartender lady how we could buy some weapons. She told us that we could rent them for a day. We all got ourselves guns, and some extra bullets while Ashu and Cale got something extra themselves. Ashu got himself a twin dagger, and Cale got a thread-like weapon. My first time seeing a weapon like this, so out of my curiosity I asked him;
"What is that for?" Cale replied, "You'll find out, soon enough."
With our new weapons in hand, we returned to our location. "Now, what's the plan?" I asked. Cale replied, "We'll hide and wait for someone to come out from the building, then." "We nab the guy, ask him about the layout of the building and amount of people we are going to face." "Ask him? You mean threaten him." I let out. "Ha-ha, not funny. So where was I? Yeah, we threaten him about the boss and then Bam! We'll attack. Simple enough." Said, Cale.
But our plan was quickly foiled when Ashu pointed out that there was no space for hiding. The sun was about to set, and we didn't have time to come up with a new plan. "Why don't we just get this over with? We are a couple of strong people," Ashu said as he stood in front of the gate. Cale and I looked at each other, then we too stood side by side with Ashu.
We swung open the door and entered the building. Upon entering, the guards took notice of our presence and asked, "Who are you, people!?" With their guns aimed at our heads. Without a moment's delay, I shot their hands, Ashu and Cale made their move as well, dealing with the incoming soldiers. The alarm rang, informing everybody about the intruders. Before we made our move, Cale asked one of the injured thugs about the location of their boss.
After knowing where he was, we climbed our way to him, killing and shooting everybody in our way.
"Jerry Lowkey POV"
The alarm rang furiously, which meant that somebody had started attacking us. I didn't know what to do, so I ordered half of my men to weed out the intruders. "Sir! They are now on the second floor. What are your orders!?" One of my men asked, nervously looking through the surveillance monitors.
"Surround them. They are only three people, how hard can it get," I said, trying to sound confident. "But sir, these three are not normal, especially these two, half of our men are already dead," my man replied, fear creeping into his voice.
I quickly realized the gravity of the situation and ordered my remaining men to retreat. I knew that these three intruders were not to be underestimated. I had to come up with a new plan, and fast.
As I retreated to my office, I heard the sound of gunfire and shouting from the second floor. I knew it was only a matter of time before they reached me. I quickly grabbed my weapon and prepared for the worst.
The door to my office burst open and in walked Ray, Ashu, and Cale. They had finally reached me. I raised my weapon, ready to defend myself, but failed because they shot my hand before I could pick my gun up. My men were shot dead one by one, leaving me. "Wait! I surrender!!" Not being able to do anything at this moment I just begged them, not to kill me;
"I give up! Please, do not kill me…"
"Who is it that hires you? Was it Morton's brother, or was it, guild? I'll pay you to double then what there is offering you, just don't kill me, I beg you…"
PAM!
PAM!
"Argh!!!"
"Ops! Sorry sorry, I just got rusty, with this thing. But it'll only hurt for a moment. Bear with it for me, will ya?"
"Cale, don't torture the guy, just finish it, so we can leave, this danm place."
"Argh…Cale… You mean Cale Valtia Stark!!"
"…"
"…"
"…"
" Shit!!" with that I sprung to grab the nearest gun, but failed miserably as they shot my hand before I could pick it up.
"Hey, wait…you're here for money, aren't you! I'll pay you to double, no triple, just don't kill me, I beg of you, please…"My last-ditch efforts were as worthless as shit.
Because, before I could continue, I was shot dead… "Ashu Pov"
"Phew! Now that's over, how about we go for drinks after getting our pay." Asked Ray.
"Sure…"
"Ashu, as I told you before, these guys are not someone you could pity."
"You may not know this, but these guys are the lowest scum on this planet. They sell drugs to kids, rape women, and kill anyone as they see fits. They have no honour; all they care about is money and women."
"So would you pity someone like that?" Said Cale, as he opened the nearest cabinet, inside the cabinet, many packets of white powder started falling out of it.
"…"
"You're right, I'm sorry."
"Now what?" I asked;
"Let's see if we find some cash, to take." Said, Ray.
"Good idea! Let's do that." After getting whatever, we could get, we made our way out of the building and head straight to the guild, without wasting any single time.
Now it's time to cash out our money from the guild.
"Here, your 10000 Raya!" The female bartender gave the money to us, which we all three split and each of us got three hundred thirty-three Raya.
Not a big amount but sufficient to rent a room and good food to eat.
As we stepped out of the guild hall, the setting sun cast a warm glow over the city of Kyiv. The white moon was already visible in the starry sky, and the streets were bustling with activity. We had a bit of coin in our pockets, and we were eager to see what the city had to offer.
We wandered through the winding streets, taking in the sights and sounds of the city. The buildings were adorned with intricate carvings and decorated with colourful lights, creating a magical atmosphere. The smell of exotic spices and roasting meats filled the air, and we couldn't resist stopping at a street vendor to try some delicious, unfamiliar food.
As we continued our journey, we stumbled upon a hidden gem of a tavern. The entrance was unassuming, but as soon as we stepped inside, we were transported to a different world. The tavern was filled with the warm chatter of patrons and the sound of glasses clinking. We were greeted by the friendly tavern keeper, who recommended a local speciality- A hearty stew made with exotic meats and served with freshly baked bread. The meal was so delicious that we couldn't help but order a second round and wash it down with a pint of ale.
Feeling satisfied and content, we decided to explore the city's nightlife. We soon found ourselves at a grand casino, where the bright neon lights and the sound of slot machines called out to us. We tried our luck and I lost some portion of my earnings and won nothing.
The funny thing was Cale, lost everything. Ray and I were so pissed off that we gave an earful of a lecture to him.
Ray volunteered to get some money and this time he bet half of his money, the surprising thing was that he won back 90 per cent of Cale's earnings back.
We ended up winning a substantial sum of money, enough to cover our expenses for the rest of our stay and even treat ourselves to some luxuries.
As the night came to a close, we returned to our inn, feeling the excitement and thrill of the city coursing through our veins. We knew that our memories of Kyiv would stay with us forever.
To be continued…
