Volume 3 - Chapter 1(Prologue(Part – 1))

Primis: Um...

Primis finally opened his tired eyes. His eyes were as back as abyss. Clearly indicating that his Sharingan or Elemental Sight was currently deactivated. Not only that when he tried to move his body, he felt extremely weak. He then raised one of his hand, brought it in front and made a fist few times before sighing.

Primis: It's the same weakened feeling I felt when I initiated "Abyss Trial" for the first time.

Finished speaking, he raised his tired body with great difficultly. Once he stood up, he looked at himself and found that he was not wearing his equipment but some casual clothes.

Next, he looked around to check his surroundings. There was nothing but endless void around him. No matter where he looked the result remained the same. Raising one of brows, he started walking.

STEP!!!

Step-by-Step he kept on walking forward. Nevertheless, no matter how far or how long he walked the surroundings didn't change. Only Endless void greeted him. Primis didn't care one bit and kept on walking forward. His body was becoming weaker, yet he didn't stop.

Time went by.

Seconds turned Minutes. Minutes turned to Days. Days turned to Weeks. Weeks turned to Months. Months turned to Years. Primis now looked like an old man whose body could fall at any moment. Still, the fire in his eyes didn't diminish one bit.

Decades went by, but Primis didn't stop. And then he saw a light in the far distance. It was a very weak light which could extinguish at any second. Still, just like Primis that light kept on releasing its weak shine without giving up. As Primis kept on approaching it, the light radiated more and more.

Centuries went by.

Primis finally reached the light after painstakingly walking for more than 1,000 years. Standing in front of it, Primis stretched his withered hand towards it.

SHINE!!!!!!!!!

The light intensified and Primis grabbed it.

WAIL!!!

WO!!!!!

BELLOW!!!

…

Primis now found himself in a middle of a desert. Hot winds and sands were blowing all around. Sun was scorching hot above. Even the ground was the same.

Looking on the ground, the old man Primis saw his bare feet in the hot sand. He could feel the extreme hot sensation on his skin. The heat was also travelling from his feet to his brain, making him dizzy. Primis grabbed his head and shook it to get rid of this dizziness and started walking again.

His entire body was sweating profusely, his breathing was haggard. But he ignored all of this and kept on walking forwards.

Another 1,000 years went by.

Primis finally reached the light source which had appeared years ago. Grabbing it and he now found himself in another place.

GROWL!!!!!!!

SPLINTER!!!!

HISS!!!!!

Icy wind was blowing all around. This time, old man Primis was at the foot of a huge ice-covered mountain. He raised his head but can't see the end of the mountain. So, he started again. The journey to reach the top. Temperature kept on falling as he climbed higher and higher.

Finally after another 1,000 years, he reached the top and grabbed the light.

Next was Volcano. Then was Endless Darkness and then it was an empty Space. Primis walked through all of them by the time 3,000 years went by and finally grabbed the light again.

BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!

This time, the entire space shattered. Unlike before, the situation this time was completely different.

Primis old body which could be destroyed with just a mere gust of wind, started to become strong. Its vitality kept on recovering and increasing. Once it was fully revigorated, Primis returned to his young self.

Midnight Coat, Elucidator, and Sharingan all returned. With this, Primis finally returned to his peak. Making a fist few times to feel the same feeling of power, Primis smiled and looked in front.

Eight colored lights glowed and appeared in front of him. Eight Ancestral Symbols. Though they appeared different now. Unlike before they were not in kanji but a symbol representing the element. Like Ice, Fire, Lighting and so on.

[DING]

Primis moved his gaze from the Ancestral Symbols to Twilight prompt.

[Welcome back, Primis. And Congratulations on clearing the trials of Incantation Symbols.]

'Primis: Incantation Symbol? Did you mean Ancestral Symbols?'

[Nope. I literally mean "Incantation Symbol".]

Primis pondered for a few seconds before opening his mouth.

'Primis: So, they evolved.'

[Yup. After you became their master, not only do they evolved but also turned from "Ancestral Symbol" to "Incantation Symbol".]

'Primis: Hmmm. Must be because I use magic instead of Qi.'

[Exactly.]

'Primis: I see.'

Primis turned to the now known Incantation Symbols and looked at the two specific ones. Thunderbolt and Life Death Symbol.

'Primis: Instead of going through Eight Trials, I went through Six of them. I didn't go through Thunderbolt and Life Death Symbols Trials. And Thunderbolt Symbol seems stronger than other seven.'

[That's because Thunderbolt Symbol merged with your Weiß Lightning Skill and become "Weiß Lightning" Incantation Symbol. That's why Thunderbolt Trial was no longer needed.]

'Primis: Ohhh.'

[As for the Life Death Trial...…After what you went through before coming to Danmachi World, that Trial was also no longer needed.]

'Primis: ...I see.'

Thinking about that for a few seconds, Primis waved his hand. All Incantation Symbols entered him after hearing his call. Primis remained silent for sometime before putting that thought at the back of his mind. Shaking his head, he spoke.

'Primis: Anyway, Twilight. What was 'that' thing?'
