Chapter 29: Return to Heyday

The Golden Retriever strutted confidently, mighty and resplendent. Its gorgeous golden fur glistened in the sunlight.

"Woof, woof–" It panted, its loud and rhythmic bark echoing.

It dashed to Joan Edwin's feet, gently nipping at his trousers with its mouth, sniffing him with its nose.

Caroline squatted down and tenderly stroked the dog's golden head.

"Woof, woof–"

Smelling a familiar scent, the Golden Retriever's bark grew even louder. Its tongue hung out and it seemed especially excited.
