Chapter 41: Slap Your Face

Lake High School.

At 5:30 in the afternoon, the school bell rang. The lively students, in pairs and groups, excitedly left the school gates.

Laughter and chatter filled the air, even spreading to some of the parents there to pick up their children. The stress melting away, their faces brightened with smiles.

In front of the school gate, under a lush tree, there was a sleek black motorcycle.

Its smooth lines exuded dominance, making it stand out among the surrounding cars.

Caroline Edwin sat astride the bike, her long legs extended to the ground, and her waist revealing a sliver of fair skin.

She wore a baseball cap and a face mask, so her entire face could not be seen.

However, her powerful aura alone attracted the attention of people around her.

After waiting for a while without the person she was expecting showing up, she started to get impatient.

Just when she was almost out of patience, she raised her head, glanced around and saw Joan Edwin standing out among the crowd.
