Caroline Edwin's fingers moved slightly.

Resting her chin on her hand, calm and unhurried, in no rush to pay.

Her gaze fixed on Jean Norris, catching the anxiety in his eyes, the cracks slowly emerging, and the smile on her lips deepening.

Taking the calculator he placed in front of her, she saw the numbers he input, her lips parting slightly, "Is this a real handwritten price, or just something you came up with on a whim?"

The stiffness on her face eased up, adhering to the principle that the customer is king, she didn't get angry at all.

Caroline remained unmoved, her gaze falling on the calculator screen, her slender index finger pointing at the screen, "What's the price of this $2,700 item?"

Although there's no anger on her face, and her voice sounds low and melodious, somehow, a sense of guilt welled up from the bottom of her heart.
