Chapter 391: It's All My Fault

"We don't know why these snakes targeted us and pursued us relentlessly, not giving up."

As Mrs. Cecil spoke of this, she couldn't hold back the tears that threatened to spill over from her heartache.

Over the past week, snakes had been entering their home from time to time. At first, it was just one or two, but later their numbers grew, and their home became a snake-infested cellar.

They tried using sulfur, garlic, and snake repellent powder, but nothing worked.

They called the firefighters to catch the snakes, but even though the snakes were right in front of them, the firefighters couldn't see them.

At their insistence, the firefighters searched the home thoroughly, but still didn't capture a single snake.

They moved overnight, fleeing their previous residence, but no matter where they went, the snakes would reappear the next day.

In just over a week, they had moved at least five times.
