Blake got up and greeted Claud Stuart before settling the bill. Afterwards, they both left the simply decorated small restaurant.

As soon as they left, the middle-aged couple followed closely behind with Sophia Pickering in tow.

As they walked along the streets of the small town, Caroline Edwin deliberately slowed down her pace. As they passed a shop, the transparent glass door reflected the figures of the few people following behind them.

With one hand in her pocket, she said, "The fish has taken the bait."

It was early autumn, and the temperature had dropped somewhat. It was no longer as hot as it had been just a few weeks ago. Many people on the streets of the small town were dressed in thin long sleeves and pants.

Blake's long, slender index finger gently pushed the frame of his glasses up the bridge of his nose. "You plan on going deep into the tiger's den."

"Hmm, are you scared?"
