Yuzanim Continent. This was a vast land surrounded by ocean and mountains with millions of population living peacefully under the control of the Magic Federation.
If someone said he wants to visit the kingdom of Yuzanim, there was only one place to go, which was the Elvasia Kingdom. This kingdom produced many geniuses, including the savior of this land, The Great Yuzanim, a wise sage that until this time, his tales and legends still had a special place in people's hearts.
"I've read this story since childhood, but I don't feel bored at all," said a crimson-haired girl while playing with her glasses.
"Everyone won't feel bored, especially if they have seen the sage's statue. I wonder if I can see such person in this lifetime," a tall boy who stood next to the girl said with high admiration.
"Ahem, it's a library. Be quiet, please!" warned a middle-aged man behind his desk. He did not bat his eyes and locked his view onto the book in his hand.
Feeling awkward, the girl and the boy quietly exited and arrived in the corridor. With an apologetic look, the girl said, "we should lower our voice next time. That's embarrassing."
"Hahaha, don't worry Fotia. It's just a warning, nothing more," the boy said lightly.
"Stupid Harris. Don't do that while I'm around," Fotia's face turned red from embarrassment, "but next week we will have a banquet to celebrate the grand opening of Star Glide Academy. Don't forget to come."
"Yes, yes, my princess," Harris answered jokingly.
Fotia suddenly pinched Harris' waist, "glib tongue. Don't call me that here."
"Ouch, ouch, ouch! Okay, let me go!" Harris groaned while trying to escape from Fotia's pinch.
"It's very important. We're officially invited, even though our status is of a commoner. There will be a severe punishment if we are absent."
"I get it. I won't mess it up for the sake of my girlfriend," Harris nodded truthfully.
"Well, this is a chance for us. Who knows if we can attend Star Glide Academy this year as the first batch student," ignoring Harris' last word, Fotia's spirit suddenly increased.
"I definitely will pass this. Just watch me hahaha," Harris flexed his three stars badge to Fotia. This badge was a sort of license or certificate of a mage, and Harris' qualification was a three stars mage.
Looking at the shiny stars on the badge, Fotia only pouted. They parted away afterward and did not meet with each other before the grand opening.

A week later. The grand opening of Star Glide Academy was greatly welcomed by the citizens. Food bazaars and art performances could be seen in every corner of this city.
"Platzman Duke has arrived!"
A gold carriage with Platzman insignia passed the road. Everyone spontaneously split up and made a way for the carriage while peeking inside of it. They were wondering what the duke looked like.
Not long after, another luxurious carriage passed with an insignia of a menacing dragon coiling around a tree engraved on the right and left sides of the carriage.
"The prince has arrived!"
People immediately gasped. They could not miss the chance of seeing the prince in person!
As the carriage passed, the noise of people gradually rose up.
"Which prince is that?"
"Look, the insignia of our kingdom."
"Where is he? Where is he?"
"Mum, does prince like bread?"
This chattering lasted a while before the carriage entered Star Glide Academy. Moments later, some important people came in with a similar greeting from commoners who were excited to see them in person. This was a rare chance where almost all powerhouses gathered.
It could happen because the Elvasia Kingdom valued talents and magic so much that they were willing to spend wealth only to groom the future generation.
At this moment, Fotia entered the academy alone. She tried to maintain her mood because someone she loved dearly, apparently had gone somewhere.
'Where's that stupid Harris? It's ten minutes more before the gate closed. Oh, don't sleep now. I'll call you darling this time as your prize if you come properly,' thought Fotia. She was very nervous now.
She had decided on a meeting point with her boyfriend, Harris, and she already waited in that meeting point for thirty minutes. This made her grow angry but she tried so hard to tune it down.
And now, she was looking for this man of her like a child asking for their mum to strangers. It was truly embarrassing, but she knew no one else besides him!
"Hello, does someone named Harris already come here?" Fotia asked the guard who was in charge of attendance.
"I'm sorry, we are busy. I'm still sorting out the attendance and will organize it based on the status. I'd like to apologize for this inconvenience."
"I see."
'How foolish I am,' thought Fotia.
Harris and she were lower-class people, and if she waited for the guard to sort out the list, it would take a long time because they were not important people at all. It was a blessing that Harris' father succeed in business, hence they got tickets to attend this banquet.
She slapped her cheek and fixed her glasses, then entered the main hall. She would wait there while hoping to notice Harris when he entered later.
However, as she was about to take a seat, a familiar voice entered her ears. She immediately looked around, trying to find the source of this voice.
The people, who were at the same table as her, immediately frowned. They were wondering why the girl in front of them suddenly looked around aimlessly.
On the other hand, Fotia did not care nor notice their expression. She left the table then wandered into the hall.
'I'm sure I heard his voice. Where is he?' Fotia carefully examined the hall from left to right, from front to back.
When she put her focus on examining people one by one, a voice suddenly chimed behind her.
"Excuse me, my lady. Could you take your sit? The banquet will start soon." A fine-looking man with brown hair asked Fotia politely. He wore a double-breasted coat with a hat of a magician. What a combination.
Fotia flustered out of shame, and she unconsciously walked towards her table without uttering any word. The man looked at Fotia with a warm smile, feeling amused.
'Oh. My. Fotia,' she cursed herself inwardly, 'I'm still worried but Harris will be fine right? Right? I mean, he's not a kid anymore, so he definitely can take of himself.'
"Everyone, thank you so much for sparing your time to this occasion. Without any further ado, I'd like to—"
The grand opening had started. Fotia organized herself neat and collected, looking at the person who was hosting the event.
From a different entrance that far from her seat, some important people entered while talking. These people were important enough that others did not mind their business at all. Among them, a tall boy Fotia knows was having a lovely conversation with a fine lady.
"I heard he is the principal," one man whispered. The man referred to a middle-aged man in a white robe. One of the people in Fotia's group moved his face, hinting the others to look at the direction he tried to show. Everyone suddenly followed his gaze including Fotia.
Fotia's face turned ugly when she saw Harris talking delightfully. She even noticed his hand was holding the girl's hand.
'He sometimes reluctant to hold my hand, and look at him now,' Fotia felt something pressed her chest, and somehow she could not breathe smoothly. Just thinking about the day they had been together these two years and his behavior now, it was hurtful.
She did not recognize this Harris.
Suddenly, Harris and the girl moved closer as their lips intertwined in a very short moment. It was very short and people did not pay attention to them, instead, they were paying attention to the principal.
Right after Harris and the girl finished kissing, the principal tapped his robe as whirlpool energy spread out on the ground, instantly sending them to the stage.
People cheered up and excited after the principal showed off his magic. However, in this crowded place, a girl quietly sobbed. She tried to keep it cool as possible, but tears started to form uncontrollably.
