Shufen clicked her tongue and looked at her parents, "I'm excusing myself. If you tell the guards to block the door, I will fight them. And father, I'm sure you know very well what I am capable of."

Tao scowled at his daughter, who began walking to the door. He motioned the bodyguards to let her pass. She clicked her tongue again and left the room.

There was silence. Cold, deadly silence. 

'Wow,' Lai thought, glancing at everyone.

Adelaida was patting her husband's shoulder and cooeing him to calm down and let Shufen be. Shao was clutching his head and sighing. He expected this much, so he wasn't exactly surprised by the turn of events.

Bai was staring at his plate, looking tired. Lai's headache and stress levels were further triggered by this event. So at this point, she needed the bathroom. She felt like she needed to puke.
