First day

After he finished with his daily training, Ryo immediately returned to the dormitory to take a shower and change clothes. Ryo opened his wardrobe, and he saw a set of white uniforms that weren't there before.

There was a small piece of paper folded neatly on top of the uniform. Ryo immediately opened it to read the note.

.... Wear this, so you don't look like a lost child. Monthly money has been sent to your bank account. Enjoy your time, K.K. ...

Ryo smiled slightly when he read it, and he felt a little something he had never felt before.

"Is this how it feels like having a mother?" Ryo muttered as he put on his new uniform and looked at his reflection in the mirror.

The size fitted Ryo's body perfectly, it made him more confident. Then he combed his hair and straightened his collar.

"Perfect!" said Ryo when he saw that he was deemed worthy enough to become a student at the White Raven.

Without wasting any more time, he immediately headed to the Gymnasium to get to the class he needed to attend today at White Raven.

When he arrived there, Ryo was a little confused because many students were passing by.

Beep, beep!

Ryo's WristNect beeped, and he immediately opened the contents of the incoming message.

[From: Administrator]

[Your appraisal test is on STATION 4. Entry number: 77. Please head to your station as soon as possible]

Ryo wandered around for a while, making his way through the crowd and finally found STATION 4.

Then he queued with a group of students who were doing their ability test on a measuring device just like him.

Ryo was very curious about how the device worked and drew closer. The shape was like a regular metal weight weighing disk, however, after someone stood on top of it, a ring-shaped light moved up and down and scanned their bodies.

Ryo watched them pouring energy into a white crystal ball in front of them. He several times saw students who managed to turn the light on until it was brightly lit.

Then it was Ryo's turn to do the test, and he was a little nervous because many were looking at him directly.

Whooommmm

A ring of light emerged from the iron plate and began to move up to scan his body. A tingling sensation immediately spread across Ryo's skin as the ring of light made contact with his skin.

After that, Ryo stepped in front of the ball of light to measure how strong he was based on the amount of energy that could flow.

However, before doing that, Ryo remembered the status he had when Kuryu made the system for Ryo.

[Dark Sovereign Mastery: 0.010%]

He was also a little curious and tried to drain Kuryu's Dark Energy.

"Kuryu?" called Ryo to confirm his approval.

[Go ahead, but keep it at a bare minimum]

Ryo nodded and then poured Kuryu's Dark Energy into the ball of light. He had expected the ball of light to glow brightly like the other students. But instead, the ball of light began to turn gray, getting darker until it finally broke.

The senior Rifter, who was in charge of the appraisal, was very surprised and immediately called someone by placing one finger on the headset he was wearing.

Ryo could hear the answer from the operator. But he could not hear the person on the other end.

"Mrs Katya? Okay, I understand. Will do so Mrs Katya... As per your wish."

Ryo smiled sweetly when he heard the name mentioned by the man. Even though Ryo seemed free to do whatever he wanted, Katya always had a way of keeping an eye on him from afar.

Beep Beep!

Ryo's WristNect beeped and showed his User ID as an official White Raven disciple.

[ID Number: 970329013-F]

[Name: Ryosuke]

[Year: 1st]

[Class: Lower Class 13-F]

Ryo was a little surprised by the results he got. It was not what he expected. "How the F…?! Why am I in Lower Class?!"

Ryo stepped down from the metal plate with a gloomy face. He even accidentally bumped his shoulder with the students who were waiting in line behind him.

"Hey! Watch your steps!" cried the man and clenched his fists in annoyance. However, Ryo didn't care and looked back at the man so fiercely that his face turned pale. "But we're all busy so it's understandable. Have a nice day!" said the man, immediately pretending to be friendly.

Beep Beep!

The WristNect rang again, Ryo opened the message very lazily. He only skimmed and more or less understood what he should do after that.

Ryo walked with his head down to the classroom the Administrator mentioned in the short message.

The classroom door opened automatically and closed again when he was inside. He saw the whole classroom, which only numbered 10 people.

Ryo rised one of his eyebrows, the class he was in had so few students, unlike other classes that numbered in the tens of people.

"Ah! Ryo! We're in the same class, hehe," said a woman with a very clear Russian accent.

Ryo woke up from his daydream and straightened his face, "Anna? I didn't think we could be in the same class," Ryo said, as he didn't think that the woman he thought had high potential would enter the lowest class.

"Maybe it's fate? Come sit next to me," Anna said as she pulled the chair next to her.

As soon as Ryo sat next to Anna, he felt awkward when he realized that the students in the class weren't weak at all. Even Ryo could feel the sweat running down his spine as the man behind him stared down intensely at him.

'Are they even human?' Ryo muttered when he could feel the strong energy of the other 8 students.

Not long after, a middle-aged man walked in. He had a thick gray beard and curly gray hair ruffled like a bird's nest, and he wore thick glasses perched on his nose. The man was dressed in a long white coat, and as he walked, his body was slightly bent over as he carried some books.

"Hey! Calm down, everyone! Lessons are about to start!" The man spoke in a high pitched voice, startling the few who didn't notice his presence.

The whole class whispered to one another and questioned who this middle-aged man was. His appearance was not at all like a teacher in general.

The man chuckled. "Alright everyone, welcome to Class 13-F, my little monsters. My name is Allan. I hope you don't trouble me while you're here!"

His loud and provocative speech made several people in the class instigated.

"What can he do with such a hunched back, hahaha!" a male student laughed mockingly as he joked with his friend next to him.

Professor Allan cleared his throat a little but the student didn't stop.

So with a snap of his fingers, he released an energy pressure that only affected the gravitational field around the student. The pressure exerted was not much, but was enough to silence the student by thoroughly slamming his head on the table.

The incident practically made the whole class hold back laughter.

Ryo shook his head and closed his eyes because he felt second-hand embarrassment when he saw the stupidity of the burly male student.

"What a fool!" Ryo whispered while patting his forehead.

Professor Allan then looked at his students one by one.

"First-years do have good spirits. What you saw just now was just a warning, if you repeat it, you're really going to be kicked out! It doesn't matter if you're the son of an official or the president." He spoke very firmly.

Those who had studied the White Raven before entering were sure to read many articles about Professor Allan. He was the Scientist Genius and was an eccentric, the brain behind the thousands of patents from his scientific works. He was the originator of WristNect technology with a spatial space in it so that it could store various kinds of objects.

His capabilities and knowledge of the spatial dimensions made the technology that only existed in the Magic Civilization could possibly be realized in the Modern Technological Civilization.

"Ah, it's much calmer now, great. Let's start all over again. I will be your homeroom teacher for this first year," he said as he sat down in a chair and brushed his thick beard.

Ryo was getting more and more frustrated, not only did he end up in the same class as the troublemaker kid, but he also got the worst-tempered homeroom teacher in the White Raven.

But at least there was Anna to lighten his mood a little.

"Silence!" exclaimed Professor Allan, and all the students fell silent. Especially the two loudest boys.

Professor Allan then continued while opening his student list.

"For today, I just want to know your name first. Answer me if your name is called."

"Anna,"

"Yes!" answered Anna excitedly.

"Arya?"

"Present." Ryo glanced slightly at the woman with the sweet voice sitting not far from him.

'Elves?' Ryo muttered when he saw her pointed ear.

"Beowulf?"

"I'm here," replied the burly brown-skinned man.

"Cindy?"

The woman in the hoodie jacket who had been laying her head on the table suddenly woke up, "Ah?! Over here, professor!"

"Don't sleep in my class, young girl. Next, Dandelion?"

"Over here, Professor," replied the woman sitting behind Cindy.

Her skin was pale white, and her eyes were also almost full white, as people with the albinism gene.

"Elya?"

"Right here!" replied the woman sitting next to Arya.

Ryo hid his surprise when he realized they were physically identical twins, but their personalities were completely opposite.

"Flaura?"

"I'm here," said the woman in all green.

The whole class seemed to feel a cool breeze when they saw her face. Even the scent of the pine forest tickled Ryo's nose when Flaura lowered her head slightly.

"Gungnir, Hrungnir?"

"Y-yes! Professor!" they both said at the same time. They looked like brothers who had just been scolded by their own grandfather.

"At last and the least of all, Ryosuke," said Professor Allan as he looked at Ryo with suspicion as he stroked his long beard.

"Yes, I'm here, Mr Allan," said Ryo and looked into Professor Allan's eyes.

"Very well, do you know why y'all end up in the lowest class? Even this class shouldn't exist in the first place."

But all of them were silent as no one could answer.

"No one? Fine, I will tell y'all why… Because each of you is a monster among monsters!"
