The Rifter: Child of Prophecy

Rays of sunrise crept into Ryo's eyes and slowly woke him up. When he took a glimpse of his watch, it was 8.30 A.M. He practically jumped out of his bed and ran to the bathroom.


He brushed his teeth and took a quick shower. He wore his uniform in such a hurry and walked out of the dorm with messy hair.


'Crap! I'm gonna be late!' muttered Ryo and dashed out.


His WristNect got a notification, and he opened the message while running to his class.


Ryo just hastily replied, "Almost there!"


Ryo ran as quickly as he could and even bumped through a few other students. He finally arrived in the class just before the bell rang aloud.


"Fyuh! That was close!" said Ryo while heavily panted out of breath.


"Excuse me," said the voice of a woman behind him.


Ryo was startled because he couldn't feel any of her presence, and yet the girl with white hair and eyes was suddenly on his back.
