The enemies were on their tail, Ryo, Ling and Lindel fought their way to get back to the base. It was already past midnight, the endemic beasts that live in the area woke up due to the ruckus that was caused by them.

All kinds of ferocious beasts were angry when the Rifters crossed their territory. Those were not regular beasts by any means, most of them were Rank C and also some Rank B beasts who can use their elemental attacks.

From a flock of Iron Wing Eagle with their deadly Wind attack, till a herd Earth Rhyno who could split the ground with their powerful horns. Even the Lava Worm who could burrow themselves with its lava bending ability also joined the fray, altering the ground with molten lava that hindered their movement speed

Upper Classes who priorly chased Ryo and his peers, now they are preyed on by those beasts.
