Once Elena arrived at the Palace she rushed to the Healing Hall where Ryo was nursed.

Her heart almost sunk into the bottom of her stomach upon seeing his state. Wrapped with bandages and he lost an arm.

On the other bed beside him, Cindy was laid after she successfully wielded the Heavenly Artifact.

All sorts of markings were ingrained on her body. She was safe and sound even though the burden as the artifact wielder was so great.

Sebastian was also there to make sure nothing worse would happen to both of them.

"Miss Elena…" The Butler couldn't say anything, he acknowledged Elena was in agony. Any further consolation could only make things worse for Elena.

Elena took a step closer to Ryo's bed, her eyes immediately drenched in tears as she saw Ryo's arm was severed.

"Ryo… I'm so sorry, I couldn't protect you." Elena sobs. "Please… wake up."

While Elena caressed Ryo's chest, she realised that Ryo's heartbeat was faint and slow.
