Coming back from the city was smooth and trouble-free, Liu Yang handled the creatures easily and his somewhat infamous reputation as a cold-blooded killer spread throughout the region.
The video of him killing the Odds group coldly and without hesitation was seen by many people. So it was normal for people to be very afraid of him.
Upon arriving at the entrance of the city, the closest people saw him and already started to move away in fear of being killed. Another shocking event happened in the city a few minutes after his departure.
"Is it that young man? Is he responsible for the massacre at the Wolf Hunter group's hideout?" Someone commented.
"Don't keep talking about it, he can hear us" Another interjected.
"He only killed Odss' group, but it looks like someone from this young man's group killed every member of the group in Odds' hideout." Someone else commented.
…
Along the way through the city, Liu Yang heard all kinds of whispers, but none of that bothered him because a vague idea of what had happened appeared in his mind.
Aoron Lin got a little nervous hearing the comments around him because he couldn't believe that the young man in front of him could be some kind of cold-blooded assassin and that he's part of some group too powerful and influential to have someone capable of killing the entire group which Odds participated in.
But he knew when to shut up and didn't even try to comment on the matter.
The place where the pair stopped was near the Adventurer's Guild, but Liu Yang didn't continue his walk.
"You can go alone, right?"
"Yea. Fellow, I am so grateful for your help and for saving me. If I can ever return this favor, I will do my best to do so." Aoron Lin bowed to Liu Yang and thanked him.
"You don't have to worry about that. That was just a job" Liu Yang casually retorted, not caring too much about it.
"Fellow, I hope you stay safe on your journey." Someone like Liu Yang was destined to be very strong, so there was nothing he could do but wish him luck.
"Goodbye. Remember to give those two items to your sister and ask her to put them together" Liu Yang reminded him.
"I will do it."
Liu Yang walked towards the exit to continue his adventure, while Aoron Lin was greeted by his younger sister covered in tears of joy and longing.
…
Outside the city…
"Uncle Zhou, were you the one who killed those guys?" Liu Yang asked the shadow following him from behind.
"Nephew Liu Yang, why do you think that?" Zhou Chen didn't answer the question and asked one back, but his casual tone made him look like he didn't know anything.
"You are the only person I know with enough power for this."
His words were lies because he knew three insanely powerful dragons, far more powerful than any other being Liu Yang had ever seen in his life.
Even though he didn't know how strong Zhou Chen was, he thought he was still powerful enough to handle anyone below level 50 easily.
"Nephew Liu Yang is also more than meets the eye. When I was the same age as you, I couldn't easily do what you did." Zhou Chen didn't comment on the answer and only made another comment about Liu Yang.
"..." The silence was enough for him.
The duo was a bit awkward because it looked like one person was talking to themselves as they walked along the dirt road.
"Uncle Zhou, what would be a good place to train and have a good chance of finding valuable items to forge weapons?" Liu Yang asked after brief thought.
What he lacked was higher quality equipment, levels were something he could get from dealing with creatures while looking for items. The common items he uses didn't have any kind of extra effect to improve his stats.
"Nephew Liu Yang, you can join some kind of influential group. They have all sorts of special activities for members in exchange for Contribution Points. The more difficult the activity, the greater the amount of points. Or you can go to an auction in medium or big cities to find powerful items, but their prices are quite expensive and many people will vie for these items. If you want to forge something, the most important thing is to find a competent and reliable blacksmith to do things for you, otherwise, he might try to trick you and steal your items." Zhou Chen knew a lot more information about the world than Liu Yang.
So it was a good choice to ask him a few questions.
"What do you recommend doing?" Liu Yang didn't know what to decide because each of the options had advantages and disadvantages.
