Brent gives a deep sigh.

"Bella, please sleep." He sounds tired and a bit agitated.

I just got to know a whole lot of new information. I desperately want to make sense of everything. I know I will not be able to just sleep without getting any answers.

"How am I supposed to sleep, Brent?" I ask him, matching his agitation. There is no trace of tiredness in my voice though. I am very much awake with and bothered with unanswered questions.

He seems to acknowledge my position in this and turns to put the bed light on.

He looks at me and there is that sadness in his eyes again. I want to tell him he doesn't have to tell me, but I doubt that it would take that sadness away.

He sits up next to me and looks me in the eye.
