SECOND CHANCES

After Edward was taken out of the room, Derick, Brent, Lauren and the clockmaker started discussing how they felt about the new information they have just heard. Everyone offers their opinion.

Derick feels a man cannot be tried for being misled into a situation where he had no choice to do what he did.

Brent feels that Edward vowed to protect the other members of the order's families, and that he did not do that.

The clockmaker confessed that he knew Edward was alive since his clock never stopped. He does not want to influence anybody else's opinion because he feels guilty for knowing all the time.

Lauren feels that Alice and Edward have suffered enough in the twenty-five years and that it was punishment enough.

After long hours of discussions and disagreements regarding Edwards intentions and the purity of his confessions, Derick turns to me and asks me how I feel.
