Leech Potluck Prelude

The Giant Annelida Hirudinea, also known as the giant leech, are man eating Galdrman birthed around the initial Great White Flame purge of the world. Every giant leech upon reaching adolescence is around 1 meter (3.28 feet). They have no limbs and travel by crawling, which in itself is a disgusting act of stretching each of their 32 segments of their wormy body forward, then contracting all the segments to return to their original state.

Each segment is equipped with a brain the size of a tennis ball. To protect their internal organs, and their most advanced 33rd brain, each giant leech has a pale human face with blue bright eyes, representative of a number of factors. The factors include, personality, nature of birth, nurture of community, age, and finally intelligence.

Although equipped with 33 brains, the 33rd being a brain dealing with spiritual development that has been nicknamed by the giant leeches as their "Blue spirit", they are considered the least intelligent of the Galdrman. A Galdorerdian with a weird German accent described them as, "Parasites clinging onto the thread of intelligence that binds us high level creatures." The Galdorerdian in question had no real medical degree, nor was his status as a Galdorerdian was ever confirmed, nonetheless, the rest of the world believed them.

They believed them so much to the point that, "leech" became a new word describing someone as incompetent, slow to developments in their environments, incapable of magic and therefore benefiting off of the Great White Flame without giving back, and finally someone who cannot evolve in any shape or form.

This however is not true in the slightest. "Lich!" Among the countless colonies of leeches in the world, there lives a leech that resides in the high percentile of leeches. "Lich!" Among all leeches, there is only an 8% of them capable of magic at an average level. "Lich, Lich!"

In the leech colony 756, that resides in a muddy water filled pocket dimension underneath the marsh that surrounds the lighthouse Jesuh lives in. There rules a leech apart of the 8%, a leech that gave itself their own name and pronoun. She went by the name, "Lich von Bacon!"

When the leech that terrorized Riley dived into the shallow waters of the marsh. It used a spell taught to it by Lich von Bacon to dive into the pocket dimension filled with muddy water. There it swam to the bottom of the endless sea that seemed to make up the dimension. It kicked with all its might with its tail, propelling itself downward with the might of the strongest physical potential of all the Galdrman. Its blue spirit brought forth a cry as it extended out of its leech shell. Its long hair flowed beautifully in the muddy waters as it cried out, "Lich von Bacon! Here, my voice," tears flowed from its bright blue glowing eyes. Its rotating teeth acting as a dress, as it felt the words of its glorious King invade its spirit.

"Hear my voice, my people. I, Lich von Bacon come to address you for the evening," her voice was graceful and precise, powerful but gentle. It was as stern as a loving mother and as proud as a father. It invaded the blue spirits of the leeches that were within 100 meters of her. Telepathy was a basic spell, easy to learn, but useless to the eyes of the majority that favored the use of offensive spells. The 8% of leeches that knew how to use magic, decided to learn it to better control the masses that made up their colonies.

As the leech that terrorized Riley swam closer and closer to the colony, they swam slower. Completely captivated by the elegant speech of their King. "Since the times of our birth we have been in an endless battle of wits against the masses. We have been called ignoramuses, incompetent, worthless, and even worse, things that we cannot even imagine. Yet do you believe that we are pointless? They call us worms that just crawl on the ground, incapable of standing up for ourselves! They call us parasites, that we were the mistake that the Great White Flame gave birth to. We are not blessed by the flame like Galdorerdians or the true parasite, humans. So I asked you, do you believe that our existence is futile! We are proud leeches! We were born for nothing but ourselves. We won't surpass anyone but ourselves. So, my brothers, die with regret, die sad, die unhappy. But no matter what, don't you dare die with worry! For you had purpose, and you served it well. Be at peace of what you've done for us leeches!"

The hundreds of leeches present in the colony erupted into cheers and war cries. They all cried out, "Lich! Lich! Lich! Death without worry!" Lich von Bacon flourished in the praises. She felt as though all her words were heard and accepted by so much of her people. She was at peace for those moments before the leech that terrorized Riley came bursting into the colony with its blue spirit out crying out to Lich. "Lich! Please hear my voice! I am requesting you to listen to my words."

Lich just barely made out its voice as it invaded the minds of every leech to shut up and listen to the words of their late leech brethren, "Listen well to the words of our brother here. They must have gotten hungry and strayed from the-"

"LICH! The lightkeeper Jesuh, and a human Riley. Has decided to come kill y-" The cigarette inside the leech, cursed by Jesuh, burned through the stomach of the leech. It melted and fused with its intestines as a bright light emitted from it.

BOOM!

The explosion was self contained, each part of the leech evaporated into a bright orange light that blinded the leech colony for a few seconds. The colony was stunned, panic grew among the mass of leeches. Their king was sick to her stomach, all 33 of their brains recoiled at the thought of the radioactive name that spurred out of the dead leech's mouth. "Jesuh."

Lich von Bacon, stretched her body up. She casted a creation spell, creating phantom blue limbs to carry herself. Her legs were slender and transparent, but the bottom of her feet were solid. Her arms were muscular and dense. She stretched her blue spirit out of her leech shell, she used her rotating teeth as a dress, her face was a pale young male face with a grand white beard that stretched from her chin to the endless bottom of her body. Her eyes shone a bright blue, that mesmerized her followers. She then stretched her tail to a curve, her body resembled that of some humanoid monster akin to Frankenstein. "Leeches! We must ensure that their death was not in vain. To ease our fallen brother's worries of the afterlife. We must fulfill their final purpose. They lived with purpose! They fought with purpose! Whatever it may have been it was done with purpose. We are not worthless nor pointless my brothers. Turn your sadness and panic into anger, let it fuel you into battle. We shall avenge our fallen brother and prove to all those damn parasites who we truly are! We strike by night!"

The entire colony grew quiet, as it took a few seconds for them to process what their King had told them. "Does this mean we're having a potluck," a random leech among the crowd asked.

Lich von Bacon sighed, but grabbed it before it could come out and swallowed it. "YES! Our leech potluck on Jesuh and Human Riley starts now!"
