"You want to go after the cult? Do you have any proof that they were in any way related to this situation?" Garnell asked.

"Well, we know that Caleveh was a servant of the deity they worship, so it would make sense that they were the backers," Tess answered.

"Even if it makes sense to you, I cannot authorise something based off of unfounded connections."

"Commander, why did you make this organisation?" Marcus asked. "Wasn't it to do whatever was necessary to keep this nation safe? Regardless of arbitrary things like legality or solid proof?"

"That was the aim," Garnell responded. "But you have to understand that it's not that easy."

"Of course it is. Let us do what we can, and I swear I will take the head of the cult," Marcus said, attempting to persuade the Commander.
