Surprised murmurs erupted around the table, following Marcus's admission.

'Shit. Why did I do that??'

"Well, I think that just about finishes things," Cassian said. He was sat at the table far away from the three head Delth brothers at the centre of the table. "What should we do with this waste of breath?" he asked, standing up.

"Cassian, shut up," Samuel ordered. "You openly plead guilty?" he asked Marcus. "Do you understand the severity of the matter? Do you understand what this means for you?"

Marcus realised he had a chance to persuade them, that he was given a second chance in this trial. His mind quickly began running over the encounter with Cassian earlier in an attempt to formulate an argument.

"I do. And I was planning on fighting my case, but upon seeing many of the people in this room I decided to be honest," Marcus answered.
