Very quickly, what was only meant to take until morning turned into an entire day. Then it became two days. Then, an entire week.

In the end, it took two and a half weeks for any information to come back to Commander Marketh and, even once he did receive the information, it was not anything that could be acted upon immediately.

Upon learning of the formation of the group, and the titanic task that they would have to carry out, Marketh had mobilised all of the assets that he had at his disposal that were not already occupied to learning about the giants.
