Dozing Off

*Flashback*

"I can't do this anymore….I CAN'T DO THIS!"

A child, barely twelve years old, smashed a bottle on the ground in bitterness. His eyes were bloodshot in anger as he clutched his head in his hands trying to calm himself down, but all in vain. 

A middle-aged man on the one side, perched on the floor was mending some broken pieces of equipment. He didn't react at all to his outrage acting like he didn't even hear any of it. Only after a few delicate minutes of silence did he ask in a gentle voice.

"What happened? Did something …."

"I told you…." A barely audible whisper escaped from his mouth, which surprised the Man but he barely reacted. The volume was too low to be heard properly by the man but he didn't ask him to say it again.

The boy, self-realizing this, answered again, this time a little more loudly,
