Subdued by Force

"...."

Crey stood there like an emotionless statue with his Spear pointed at the throat of Yakov while his weapon was strung helplessly as a shield in front. He had lost this game of will, and stepped back to defend first but still wasn't able to stop his strike.

Chill emerged from the soul of the Yakov, as he peeked at him. He discovered Crey to be looking at him with an empty look. There were no emotions evoked in that gaze. Yakov felt humiliation surging in his heart as he saw his indifference. It was maybe more hurtful than anything else.

Clueless to his thoughts, To Crey, it was his poker face but to him, it seemed that he was deliberately exhibiting his indifference to insult him. That is, If he attributed the first defeat to Crey's sneak attack, then what about this time? Does he have any excuse left?

Avery, on the other hand, stood rooted to her spot in shock. She was paying her utmost attention but was still startled by the result.
