That night after my sister left for another mission, me and my parents were sitting and eating dinner.
"I have something you tell you mom and dad."
"Oh! What is it my little sweetheart?"
My mom says in a sweet and caring voice.
"Hey! Stop eating your son is talking to you!"
She tugs my dad's right ear and he reluctantly places down his cutlery before saying in a low tone.
"What is it son?"
"Ah it's nothing. I was just wondering if I could go on a training trip with my friends?"
"Of course you ca-"
Mom covers dad's mouth and speaks.
"Training? Training where?"
"Umm...Nowhere, it's just at a friend's summer house."
"Friend? Which friend?"
"Eh he's the son of Baron Noc-"
"Oh Baron Nock! I'm friends with his older cousin's daughter second son's aunt."
"..."
Not surprised. Mom knows everyone.
"I didn't know you were friends with their son. I should go say hi one of these days."
My mom smiles as she continues pulling on dad's ear.
"Ha...ha..."
I really hope she doesn't go say hi.
"But what brought this on?"
"I just thought it would be a good way to spend the next month haha."
So I say, while nervously hoping she wouldn't pry any further.

[The next day, demon realm]
After successfully deceiving my parents into believing my nonsense, I packed my bags the following morning and left after saying my goodbyes.
It was really a good thing they didn't decide to ask anymore questions. It was actually jarring how much they trust me. Maybe it's because unlike my sister who is a prodigy, they don't have any expectations for me?
Well, anyway it works out in my favor so I'm not complaining.
Right now, Zalfious is currently guiding me to where the dark elf lady is held.
It is in a room below the main building. It looks sort of like a dungeon, with stone walls on all sides and a dark narrow walkway leading us to our destination.
Apparently this was a prison the others constructed when building the realm. I didn't realize they thought so far ahead already.
We approached the end of the narrow walkway, in front of us was a wooden door imbued with sealing magic.
As Zalfious poured in his mana, the door immediately opened.
Beyond the door was a room that was an undeground jail cell, stone walls on all sides without a shred of light except for the candle Zalfious had just lit up.
Inside the cell, a single girl is affixed to the wall with chains binding her four limbs. She was still wearing the rags from when I found her. It was half revealing her large breasts and lush thighs. She looks to be slightly older than me and Elaine, so that would put her around 17 or so.
"Oh great, she's awake."
I stare at the dark elf lady who have seem to just woken up. Her eyes dart across the room as the clinking of metal chains filled the air. She was struggling to get out.
As she made eye contact with me she stopped struggling and said.
"You. I know you."
Hmm? Does she remember when I found her? I expected her to have lost all her memories of then. It seems like she has a stronger mental fortitude than most.
"You are...that guy who fo-"
"Urghh."
Her head drops and from the look on her face, she seemed to have encountered some seering head pain.
From the looks of it, something is blocking her from remembering things.
"Dispurse."
I held up my hand close to the young lady's head and started removing the excess demonic energy leaking out from her.
A few moments pass and the young lady regains her composure.
"The village...if I'm here then...MY HOME!"
Her chains clinked once more as she tries to propel her body forward.
Zalfious steps up, ready to force the girl back into position. I put up my left hand silently signaling him to stop.
"Please let me go..."
I couldn't help but let out a sigh as she said that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In a room inside the main building, me, Zalfious and the dark elf lady are coversing.
The dark elf lady looked way better than she did a few days ago. Her pale face no longer existed and she seems to have stabilized herself.
This dark elf has an interesting past. She hesitated to talk about it initially, but it seems she decided to open up after sensing the demonic energy eminating from the demons.
Her name is Lyndis.
She was born as the daughter of the chief of the dark elf tribe in the Eastern Etelia forest, which is the close to the deepest part of the forest. A few months ago there was an anomaly within the forest and her tribe went to check it out.
Shortly afterwards their entire village was attack by a huge winged mana beast and many people died.
Aire, the dark elf I met back then was also from Eastern Etelia. Is he from the same tribe as her?
Hope he's not dead.
Lyndis and her other tribesman evacuated from their homes, but because of an unfortunate incident regarding slave traders and bandits, she was captured and then sold to Wanfi.
That was the last thing she could remember clearly. To her, everything else that came after that was like a haze.
Apparently back then, she was extremely weak and couldn't even utilize an ounce of mana. After Wanfi experimented on her, it became possible for her channel mana and even cast spells.
However, she slowly lost her mind overtime. Despite being fully aware of everything that was going on, she couldn't act on it.
"It felt as though I was trapped in isolation and could only watch as my body strayed away from my mind."
Is what she said.
That's because of the excess demonic energy inside of her. In my first life, there was a term that clearly defined these symtoms.
"Demonic dissonance."
That was the term used by demons to describe others who have lost their mind to an overload of demonic energy. This can happen because of the sudden spike in demonic energy, just like how Lyndis's mana heart was forced open causing her to convert more demonic energy than she could handle. They will eventually become extremely aggressive and attack anything in sight.
This is because the overabundance of demonic energy that cannot be contained by the body stimulates negative emotions. Thus causing someone to lose their rationality and mind.
Luckily she wasn't too far off the edge because we could save her.
Those black magicians seem to have found a way to make use of demonic energy present in dark elves.
I don't like it. I don't like it one bit.
How dare they use demonic energy as they please. These black magicians...I'm not going to just let them be. I'll be sure to wipe them out.
But first, a huge winged creature eh. One in Eastern Etelia as well. All signs point to it being the wyvern detailed on the map.
The wyvern is the reason why I had duped my parents by telling them I was going "on a training trip". It was because I wanted to find it.
After all, I had not seen one since I killed several of them back in my second life. I wonder if they have a smilar power level.
I was worried that it might take some time to find but it should be easier than I thought, since we have such a huge lead. And I now have another reason to go to the Etelia forest now: to meet the dark elves and recruit them.
If I'm able to recruit the entire tribe and teach them demonic arts, they should be a great help.
"That creature should be the wyvern one this map was referring to."
I put the map on the table and Lyndis reaches for it.
"So, you want to head back to your village?"
"Yes. Now that I have power, I want to help them no matter what."
"Alright then."
I turn to glance at Zalfious that was standing on my left, patiently and silently waiting for orders.
"Zalfious, prepare to leave after I return from home. Let's go catch overselves a wyvern."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That night, after I returned back to the demon realm, Elaine and her team had also just returned. We spoke a bit and she reported to me her findings.
It seems like the duke really is involved with the incident that happened at the academy. He is working hand in hand with black magicians to create something but they don't know what it is yet.
I'm guessing it's some kind of weapon based on the blueprints I saw when I rescued Lyndis.
Well for a report so soon, it's actually pretty detailed so I gave them a praise and I couldn't help notice Elaine blushed when I did so.
Shortly afterwards, I gave my instructions to all demons present in the realm.
"Hunt and kill the black magicians within Corsair."
So I said in a cold voice.
I was standing on a stone podium next to the outdoor training ground and facing the demons.
All of them looked at me with determination, eyes brimming with reverance. From the look in their eyes, they didn't care what I ordered, they would carry it out graciously.
"Remember, if there is a dark elf with them bring them back to the realm."
"They have demonic energy within them. So they're basically demons as well. Make sure to treat them well."
"And do your best to aid them."
"AT YOUR COMMAND MY LORD!"
The entire realm shouted in unison.
