Would you like to be split apart?

"Who-, who are you?!"

"COME OUT NOW!"

Shouts a man inside a dark pitch black room.

Just a few seconds ago the room was filled with laughter as the soldiers were indulging themselves with beer and food after a long day of work.

Then suddenly all the lights went dark and entrance slammed open to reveal the chilling midnight wind.

Suspicious noises filled the air in the form of wind whirring.

All the men instantly ready their blades and watch the entrance intensely as if waiting for a beast to walk through. Their joyous faces were nowhere to be seen, instead they were filled with caution and nervousness.

"I'll say it again, COME OUT NOW!"

The man in blue standing right in the middle of the room shouted.

Some of the men turned towards him as if waiting for order, but because of the lighting, they could barely see the expression on his face.

[Whoosh!]

A small gust of wind enveloped the room.

"Tch!"

"MEN! Watch your surroundings and find the perpetrator!"

The man in blue shouted once more.

In that instant all the men averted their gaze from the door and peered around the room.

From the looks of it, they were all highly coordinated.

At the back of the room, a young man shivers while holding up his blade in fear.

This had been his first job since joining this squad. He had no experience in fighting an enemy, yet alone fighting one in the darkness.

He starts to chatter his teeth in panic and his eyes eyes dart across the pitch black room in order to find something out of place.

Up, down, left, right. But nothing could be seen.

Just then a man close to him with a heavy voice speaks.

"There's nothing boss."

He fumbles around drunk knocking a cup off the table.

"Boss could it just be the win-"

Head off.

"Hiii!"

The young man instinctively takes a step back with his shivering legs as he watches the scene unfold.

"WHAT?! WHAT JUST HAPPENED?"

"Did he just die?"

"Hey! WHERE DID HE COME FROM?!"

Amidst all the confused shouting, the only one who saw the culprit's weapon was none other than the young man.

A curved blade and a long handle.

He falls to the ground in fear and drops his sword, backing himself up against the back wall.

"AHH!"

A sea of blood followed by a "Plonk!" sound of a dead body dropping.

"Who-, the hell-"

Another head falls to the ground.

"On top! I saw-"

Cut.

"All men that can used ranged spells, aim at the ceiling!"

The man in blue shouts while pointing above him.

Several loud explosions later, the room finally quietened down. And because of the exposed roof, moonlight illuminated the room.

"Seven of us left?"

The man in blue peers around the room to search for survivors. He quickly turns his gaze to the floor. Besides the heads that were cleanly cut, there was also some bodies that were split apart.

"THERE'S MORE THAN ONE OF THEM! BE CAREFU-"

The man's body is split in two pieces, bisected from the crown of his head to the end of his crotch, splashing blood everywhere and dying the culprit's clothing in full crimson.

The scene shocks the remaining six, as they all stare at the figure slowly walking through their leader's split corpse.

"HIII!"

They all stare at the figure dyed in red. It donned a mask and black clothing. Judging by the curves on its body, it seems to be a young lady. But despite appearances, that wasn't what everyone thought.

"A mo-monster."

That was what it was.

The figure in black slowly walks towards the men that were all instinctively moving backwards.

"STOP! CON'T COME ANY CLOSER!"

Shouts the man closest to the front.

The figure doesn't listen. It just walks up nonchalantly while readying its weapon, swinging it back and forth.

As it got closer and closer the weapon was revealed to be a scythe. And as it got even closer the men started to see their grim reaper in front of them.

"Please...don't...kill...me!"

The complete disregard for any life, the intimidating aura it was giving off, and the sight of his impending death brought the the man closest to the front to his knees and begging for his life.

The others who saw the scene instantly dropped and did the same.

It was instinct. If their leader, who was the strongest among them, could do nothing but get split in half, what were they supposed to do?

When faced with such a higher being of high strength, they could do nothing but grovel at their knees.

"Hehe."

A small giggle could be heard from the figure.

"Please...we...surrender..."

He continuously smacks his forehead on the floor to plead for his life.

"Then that makes it easier."

In that instant, his head flew off.

All the other men looked up only to see another figure beside the young lady with a scythe.

This time, it was a young man in black holding two daggers. And though his face was half covered with a mask, they could clearly see his apathetic expression in his eyes which caused all of them to instinctively pick themselves up.

"AHHH RUN AWAY!"

Four men stood up and ran towards the entrance of the room which was the sole exit.

"Hah. Didn't you already surrender?"

The young man in black breathes out a sigh of disappointment as he dashes straight towards the front two men to cleanly cut their heads off.

It was done cleanly and with such precision that the men at the back couldn't help but be amazed with their comrades' deaths.

"AHH!"

The young man in black looked up to see that the young lady in black had also cleanly cut the other two men in half while blissfully bathing in the shower of blood.

The young lady in black giggles hysterically before turning to her final prey: the young man at the back of the room.

She launches herself towards him while pulling back her scythe to ready her swing.

"HAHA!"

[CLANG!]

The sound of metal colliding filled the room.

"Hey sis, calm down."

"We need this one for interrogation."

The young man in black turns to face his elder sister while still maintaining his stance to block her weapon.

"Grr..."

The young lady in black growls softly as she recedes her weapon.

"Hah."

Another sigh from the young man in black.

He turns to face the young man who has foam pouring out his mouth and liquid exiting his crotch.

"Seems like he passed out. Let's quickly report back to lady Elaine."

~~~~~~~~
Inside a large reception room three people were conversing. Behind the desk sat Elaine and facing her were two siblings.
"And so we couldn't find anything useful from the interrogation."
Says the young man in black whilst holding up a piece of paper.
He had short silver hair, silver eyes and a pair of fluffy ears sticking out from his head. From his stature alone, he could be said to be an early teenage boy around Elaine's age.
"It looks like the only thing they knew was that they were transporting some goods."
"It was sealed tight with magic and they couldn't hear anything coming from inside so they just assumed it was regular cargo."
"Hmm. So did you find out where they delivered the people?"
Says Elaine while trying to piece together the information.
"He said that shortly after they reached their destination, another group of people came to take their cargo away."
The young man says while shaking his head in disappointment.
"So they have multiple transporters..."
"I expected that. They are careful with their information, more so after master destroyed their base."
"So we'll have to focus in on that 'Mond clue' huh."
Elaine folds her arms as she leans back on her chair pondering.
"Good job for clearing out their hideout Ries, Risa."
Both of the siblings nod in sync.
Elaine turns to face Risa who is standing to the left of Ries.
"So how was your training Risa?"
"Umm...It was good!"
Risa had long elegant silver hair that was shiny, as well as silver eyes and fluffy ears just like her younger brother. Contrary to her previous devilish killing machine persona, Risa is now a graceful, beautiful and a somewhat shy young lady.
"I managed to somewhat control my bloodlust without going berserk! It's just that my head still gets fuzzy from time to time."
Says Risa excitedly which made her ears twitch.
"That's great. Just remember what master said about taking it one step at a time. We don't want another situation of you mindlessly attacking people after all."
Says Elaine with a smile, trying to comfort Risa.
"Alright you two."
"Yes lady Elaine."
Both the siblings answer in unison.
"Please gather up the remaining demons and form several teams. We are heading to Mond."
"As you wish."
Both of them bow and walk out the door, leaving only Elaine in the room.
"Hah."
Elaine leans back to her chair once more and stares at the door in contemplation before letting out a sigh.
"I wonder what master is doing now."
