Chapter 4 : Little Tornadoes

In the Wasteland, Beasts and Monsters are divided into different categories according to the level of power and dangers they pose. For Beasts, they consists of 4 Tiers, Tier 1 being the least dangerous, to Tier 4 being the most dangerous beasts there is.

A Tier 1 Beasts are like normal everyday wild animals, like Swimming Pigeons, Silver Cats, and Rolling Hamster. Some people in the Wasteland would tame some of these Beasts as pets.

A Tier 2 and Tier 3 consists of some wilder and fiercer Beasts. Some of them were tamed to help in hunting or plowing lands. But most of them are too wild to be handle by humans.

Tier 4 Beasts are on different level. Their roots came from the apex predators of the Old World. Some of the famous Tier 4 Beasts are Ember Tiger that wreak havoc in residences with fiery breath and claws, and Proud Wolves that measures 5 x bigger than wolves of the Old World and always travel in pack.

Monsters are different than Beasts. People often confused the classification of these creatures. Unlike Beasts, Monsters are mutated creatures that come from various roots; e.g animals, plants, rocks, carcasses and even viruses, with a heavy thirst for bloodshed.

They will attack all kind of living things wether it's human, New Human, Beasts or even another Monster.

They consists of 6 Tiers.

Tier 1 Monster can pose danger to a normal human, but not that they cannot fight back.

A Tier 2 Monster, have higher resistance and more power that they can kill humans armed with guns and protection suits.

Tier 3 Monster can pose threat to New Human.

A Tier 4 Monster had caused countless death to New Humans in battles before.

Tier 5 and Tier 6 Monster can destroy a city single handedly but they are a very rare occurances.

"These are Tier 4 Monsters?? How in the hell do they get here??" said Ryland. "And this is my first time seeing a Tier 4 Monster. I heard they killed New Humans for sports, right Boss?"

"Yeah.." replied Mr. Lambda, "but only if you don't know how to handle them carefully." Mr. Lambda then shaked his helmet off some dusts and put it back on his head, with the chin strap on this time.

"What the hell is this old man saying right now? We got Tier 4 Monsters surrounding us but he look so carefree" thought Ryland.

"But he did killed the one before with a single swing. He also said that he can take on any Tier 4 Monster on his own. Just how strong does this old man actually is?" Ryland wonder.

Ryland noticed that two of the Dracula Bats staring to make a move. They hovering slowly trying to get around Mr. Lambda's blind spot.

" Boss, if you wanna do something, this is the right time for it. They have started to move!" Ryland yells to Mr. Lambda.

"Oh sure kid. Something must be done to these pests. But not by me.."

"Huh?? Then who?" Ryland asked.

"Them.." said Mr. Lambda as he point his hand towards the bats.

"Huhh???"

"What the hell is wrong with this old man? Has he gone senile or what?" wondered Ryland.

Suddenly, from the back of the bats pointed by Mr. Lambda, surge of winds blows hard towards them. The bats were startled. As they turned to look towards the source of the wind, suddenly two small tornadoes came spinning right towards them so fast. 4 of the bats got hit and fell to the ground in an instant.

Ryland was shocked to see that happened. As he cover his eyes from the debris blown by the two tornadoes, he tried to peeked at the source of the tornadoes.

He saw two man, each holding a pickaxe, slowly move to Mr. Lambda.

"Right on time boys. Right on time!" said Mr. Lambda.

"We sure came as fast as we could when we sense your aura released" said one of the man.

"A group of Dracula Bats huh. Been a long time since we last seen one, right Boss?" said another man.

Mr. Lambda put his pickaxe on his shoulder and called for Ryland.

"Yeah boys. This sure bring back memories. Here, you guys know Ryland right? He almost got his blood sucked dry by one of those pest while i was sleeping there" Mr. Lambda told them.

"Err, guys. Can we talk later. Coz those bats seems angrier now that you beat them. They are making another move now" Ryland told them as he take cover behind Mr. Lambda.

"Hahahaha! Relax kid. These two are my guys. Rocco and Juice. With them around, I am pretty sure that nothings gonna harm you anymore, while i beat those fucking bats down." said Mr. Lambda as he slowly step forward towards the bats.

The 4 bats that had fallen on the ground started to recover while another 2 were flying around looking for blind spots to attack.

But Rocco and Juice wouldn't let those 4 bats on the ground to recover. They jump and twist their bodies on the air and suddenly they become small tornadoes like before, attacking the bats on the ground.

This time the attack was critical. Those 4 bats were finished in an instant. Their guts and bloods were splattered all over the floor.

The other 2 bats that were flying around staryed to freaked out. As they turned their sight towards Rocco and Juice, Mr. Lambda take that chance to spin himself with his pickaxe and attack both of the bats on the air.

As the 2 bats fell to the ground, Rocco and Juice quickly lunged towards them and gave a hard full swing with their pickaxe to the bats. That swing sent those bats meters away, knocking them to walls where the weird metallic thing that Ryland found are sitting.

The impact caused a crack on the wall. Ryland noticed that the crack started to reveal a part of that metallic thing.

"What is that thing?" Ryland wondered. He became more curious but he still need to wait for the bats to be handled by Mr. Lambda and his guys first.

"Hahaha! These pests are nothing now that my crew is here." said Mr. Lambda as he kicked the body of one of those Dracula Bats. "This mining shaft is mine! You all dont stand a chan... "

"Wait, Mr. Lambda!" Ryland shout. "there are another 2 more of them hidden behind that rock before right? Where are they now?"

"Huhh? There's more?" asked Rocco.

"Oh yes that's right. I forgot about those two" said Mr. Lambda. "Keep your eyes around. I totally forgot bout those 2".

Suddenly, a dark shadow emerged behind Mr. Lambda. Everyone looking were suprised to see that a big Dracula Bat, like 3 times the size of the other Dracula Bats that they have defeated just now, were standing right behind Mr. Lambda.
