Chapter 21: The Meeting III

Next, Michael Lambda began detailing his unique abilities. "Well, besides my physical stature and my strength, which Mr. Wilson like to refer as 'Giant'..... " Lambda started but quickly hot interjected by Wilson.

"Hey.. It's in our gene. We ARE Giants", said Wilson to Lambda. "Alright, alright Mr. Giant. I guess we are," said Lambda.

Lambda then the continue, "My specific ability is called 'Muscle Bomber.' It lets me build up tension in my muscles. When I release it, I get an explosive burst that amps up both my speed and strength."

Everyone nodded, intrigued by Lambda's unique ability. Ryland found himself reflecting, "So that's how he manages to move so explosively fast despite his massive build."

Lambda continued, detailing his weakness. "The downside of this is It can't stand prolonged battles," he admitted. "Using my Muscle Bomber ability consecutively on the same muscle tissues takes a toll. After ten activations, I need to allow for a cooldown period of at least three hours before I can use it again."

Everyone took note, their attention focused on Lambda. Alan voiced a suggestion, "If you find yourself in a prolonged battle, Lambda, you'll need partners to support you."

Lambda nodded in agreement, recalling his adventuring days. "Absolutely," he affirmed. "Back then, I always had Rocco and Juice by my side. Our teamwork was impeccable," he said, gesturing toward the two men with evident fondness.

Turning to Ash Angel, Wilson prompted, "Why don't you reintroduce yourself to the team and elaborate on your abilities?"

O'kuyo interjected, reminding Wilson, "We've already had the pleasure of meeting Ash before."

Wilson nodded in acknowledgment, "Fair enough. Ash, please delve into the specifics of your abilities for the group."

Ash began detailing his abilities to the group, "I possess an ability called 'Saddle-Up.' It allows me to handle any form of transportation as if it's an extension of myself. I can sense every movement and touch, even feeling the wind against the transport's surface, allowing for precise and swift control."

However, Ash also acknowledged a limitation to his power, "It's primarily a support ability focused on movement and mobility. While I can control the transport, any weaponry attached to it still requires manual operation."

O'kuyo posed a curious question to Ash, "What would happen if you were to commandeer a mecha, like the ones the Humans operate in Australia?"

Ash responded with a hint of longing, "I've never had the opportunity to ride one since they're exclusive to Humans in Australia."

Intrigued, O'kuyo mused aloud, "It's fascinating to think how much more formidable you could become with access to such advanced machinery."

Wilson interjected, emphasizing the importance of Ash's skills, "Ash's abilities will be invaluable, especially considering that 'The Thing'—our monster truck—is still in development. It will undoubtedly require a highly skilled driver like Ash to maneuver it effectively."

Ash chimed in confidently, "I've already taken 'The Thing' out for a few test drives. Apart from the modifications I've asked Luke-man to handle, everything else runs smoothly."

Intriguingly, Wilson leaned in to whisper something to Daoist, prompting Daoist to swiftly exit the room. With a gesture, Wilson then turned to O'kuyo and Ryland, inviting them to share their abilities with the group.

O'kuyo and Ryland exchanged a brief glance. Catching Ryland's subtle nod, O'kuyo took the initiative, announcing, "I'll be the one to explain my abilities to everyone."

He began to explain, "My ability is called 'Blade Morphing.' I acquired it through rigorous training in dagger mastery under the guidance of my grandfather, Alan." Alan beamed proudly at O'kuyo's mention.

O'kuyo grinned at the acknowledgment from his grandfather, Alan, giving him a thumbs-up in return.

O'kuyo continued, detailing how his ability allowed him to envelop anything he held in his hand with a blade aura, transforming it into a weapon akin to a dagger or sword. "However," he added, "my proficiency is limited to daggers for now."

Intrigued, Wilson queried, "So, anything can become a dagger in your hands?"

"Exactly," O'kuyo affirmed.

Seizing the opportunity, Wilson requested a demonstration. "Could you try morphing this piece of paper?" he asked, extending a sheet toward O'kuyo.

Right when O'kuyo hold that piece of paper, Wilson threw an orange right on him. With lightning-fast reflexes, O'kuyo sliced the incoming fruit cleanly in half mid-air.

Eyeing Wilson with a mix of annoyance and amusement, O'kuyo chided, "That was rude, and you shouldn't waste food." He bent down to retrieve the halved orange from the floor, dusted it off, and took a few bites before handing the other half to Ryland.

Between bites, O'kuyo continued, "The limitation of my ability lies in my own proficiency with the object I'm wielding as a weapon."

Wilson leaned in, nodding thoughtfully. "So, it's more about the shape and design of the object you're using than its inherent qualities as a weapon?"

O'kuyo nodded in agreement. "Exactly. An object with a natural edge or shape resembling a dagger is easier for me to wield effectively. I've been practicing with various objects to hone my skills."

With a confident grin, Wilson reassured him, "Don't stress about it too much, O'kuyo. If you train with me, you'll master wielding all sorts of weapons in no time."

O'kuyo said "Really? You would train me? What say you grandpa?" Alan replied with, "Well I still have some more dagger trick to teach you. But, you also need to increase your skills with other type of weapon. And I can vouch for Wilson's skills, he can train you well."

O'kuyo said "alright then Mr. Wilson. I'm looking up for our training session soon." Wilson laugh and said, "Hahaha! You are up for a great whoop ass kid! I'm gonna grill you until you become a soldier, like me! Hahaha".

O'kuyo eyes widened, but then he said, "Grandpa, if you think I am being tortured by this brute, don't hesitate to kill him."

Ryland laughed and whispered to Okuyo, "You hoping grandpa will help you. But he might be torturing you along with Wilson you know."

O'kuyo's eyes widened even more as he caught the shared, mischievous grin between Alan and Wilson. "Oh no... What have I gotten myself into?" he muttered.

Ryland and Lambda burst into laughter, their amusement echoing in the room.

Just as Ryland was about to delve into his own abilities, the meeting room door swung open, revealing Daoist entering with Luke-Man.

Luke-man said, "Well hello again everyone. We meet again. How is it going on at the mine shaft?" trying to be friendly.

Before he can say too much, Alan interjected and said he had been told that Luke-Man is going to be joining them on this journey to find Xavier's Lost Party, that his involvement is crucial to this journey. So he wants Luke-Man to introduce himself properly this time.

Ryland sit back and give the room to Luke-man. Luke-man said, "Okay, my name is Luke-Man. Just Luke-Man. I was born in a savage tribe from further south of Minty Town."

Rocco whispered to Juice, "Ooh. That explain the name". Juice replied, "Yeah. I tought that was a weird name for a faction-born New Human."

"When King Barry ravaged the land and sell anyone alive at the slave market, he kept me as his goon because of my ability," Luke-Man continued.

Luke-Man said, "I'm a dual-elemantalist. I can wield fire and electric."

Lambda was taken aback and said, "What the heck. I've told this guys before that to see a dual elemantalist is a very rare occurrence this days. But now we met one." Luke-Man just smiled and said lots of people have been saying that. And he also think that's why his current boss also keep him and take good care of him.
