Our main character is a cold young boy in his late teens, struggling to get through high school with his average grades and low social life. Pretty much a very boring life that sucks.

Feng Lie, a light-skinned Asian, tall, with brown messy hair, and casually dressed was walking down the street alone. Going to get something he would eat for lunch or dinner.
"How much for the ramyeon?"
"20 Yuan"
"Bring two cups"
Ring Ring
"Hello"
_Are you at school?_
"No Ma I went to get something to eat"
_Q-Quick go back. A storm is soon go-in-g t-o hi-t_
"H-Hello ma. I can't hear you the signal is really bad" Feng Lie said
"Here's your ramyeon"
"Coming... Hello? Hello?" then the line got disconnected.
"Pretty boy your ramyeon is here," the shopkeeper said
He stared at his phone for awhile before going to retrieve his raymeon.
"Thank you, sir"
He then started walking back to the school dorm while searching for cell service but to no avail. Soon it started to rain.
"Oh sh*t"
He waited at a supermart thinking the rain would clear in a few minutes or so but after hours there was no sign of it dispiriting any time soon and it was already getting dark.
He then decided to buy an umbrella from the mart and could only smile wryly at the situation.
'So much for the weather forecast'

In a hospital...
Feng Lie could feel the warm touch of someone holding his hand and the smell of roses filled the air around him.
"Ahhh" he wanted to scream but it came out pitifully due to his weak state.
He slowly opened his eyes to see a blurred image of his sister–Feng Shao, his mom, and a female doctor in a hospital.
"W-W-Where I'm I?" he tried to get up but his sister tightened her grip on him to bring him back down.
"Relax we're in the hospital. You got hit by lightning" she said nonchalantly
'Lightning?'
Then suddenly the incident of the previous evening dashed towards him.
He remembered buying raymeon, a phone call, heavy rain, and lying down on the streets after being hit by a lightning strike. Didn't he die?
Then was suddenly picked up by someone, a girl with pink hair.
After the remembrance of his thoughts, his eyes widened with shock, unable to believe the fact that he didn't die.
'That girl... Saved my life?'
"Now, let's give him room to breathe, You should all leave, I'm going to conduct some tests now" the female doctor who bore the name tag, Shi Qi finally spoke up
Feng Lie snapped out of his train of thought after hearing her statement, 'Test' What test? What did she mean by 'test'? Was there needles involved? He was petrified of needles.
But it was too late his sister and his mom had already left and he was so weak. She took off her coat and placed it on the table as she made her way towards him.
Every step she took his thoughts were wandering further and further. Until she stopped right in front of him and knelt.
Much to his surprise, she didn't bring out any needles instead she gently placed her hand on his chest. He could feel her delicate fingers on his skin. Then a soothing sensation echoed through out his entire body.
And no not 'that' type of sensation. It was different sort of like a balance of Yin and Yang–a weird way to qualify it but was exactly how he was feeling.
Almost like he had entered a whole new world with a temple surrounded by trees.
After a minute or so the doctor said "The soul essence in your mana seems to be alright" He was so lost in this feeling of his that he didn't hear a thing the doctor said.
"After a few weeks of cultivating. Your energy should be back in full sense"
"Wait! My what?"
"I have other patients to attend to. Have a good rest" Then she left leaving Feng Lie stomped.
