"Yeah" I said. It would seem that the divinity stat was actually useful as it seemed to keep supplying power to the holy fire in my body which had eventually helped me in resisting the poison but i couldn't help but wonder if this was an opportunity for me to increase my resistance to poison as well as increase my divinity.
[I know what you are thinking of doing] said Anna, her voice full of concern [but i would advise against it as it is too dangerous]
"Well, everything in this place is dangerous and if I want to become stronger then I need to do this at some point so I might as well do it now" I thought as I swallowed another piece of roasted Monisar meat. I could feel the poison spread throughout my body as the holy fire counteracted and erased it and once cured I once again repeated the same process until I had finished eating all of the Monisar meat that I considered worth eating. I also roasted and ate some of its organs such as the heart, stomach and liver which gave me the following effects.
{SMALL INCREASE IN SENSITIVITY TO MANA}
{GREAT INCREASE IN RESISTANCE TO POISON}
{THE SKILL "THE VOID" MASTERY HAS INCREASED FROM 12 TO 20%}
I also gained a new passive skill
POISON PRODUCTION(RARE)
MASTERY: 80%
REQUIREMENT: NONE
A SKILL OBTAINED FROM CONSUMING THE LIVER AND HEART OF THE MONISAR. DUE TO THE SKILL "THE VOID" YOUR BODY HAS UNDERGONE A METARMOPHISIS IN ORDER TO INHERIT THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MONISAR AND HENCE SOME OF YOUR ORGANS HAVE TRANSFORMED INTO THOSE OF THE MONISAR SUCH AS YOUR HEART AND LIVER WHICH HAS ENABLED YOU TO BE ABLE TO PRODUCE YOUR OWN POISON.
So the Void skill didn't just take the abilities of the monsters that I killed but also some of their characteristics as well. Then was the skill making me evolve into an entity entirely different from human beings.
[That's right] said Anna.
"So how much can evolve?" I asked.
[Well, there are different evolution paths that people can take for example some people evolve through the use of elixirs which usually done by mages in order to become grand sorcerers while some evolve through contracts with demons and gods which leads them to become avatars of their contracted entities but each of these methods has a drawback or limitation since it involves borrowing power from a different entity or substance. For example, evolution based entirely on elixirs results major side effects like the rapid aging of the body in exchange for an increase in magic power while becoming an avatar result in the person essentially becoming a slave of their contracted entity in exchange for a great increase in power. Of course this is not always the case as some people can evolve using contracts and potions with them obtaining only benefits.]
[A third method of evolution is known as Talent evolution. It involves constant training in order to surpass one's own limits which is what most people do but the drawback is that this usually takes a long time to happen. For example, a human swordsman usually ends up becoming a master swordsman after training consistently for thirty years however as a result he would have wasted thirty good years meaning that he had a very short time to live before meeting his death. Similar to how mages study magic for many years and end up becoming grand sorcerers when their lives are coming to an end and some people end up achieving nothing in the end due to various factors such as lack of money, opportunity or talent.]
[There is however a fourth option of evolution which is usually the most effective method but is however the most dangerous one out of them all]
"Why is it so dangerous?"
[Because it involves taking the characteristics of other species by transplanting their flesh and organs and hence forcing your body to evolve past its given limits. This method is much more dangerous as it requires you to implant organs and tissues from creatures that are far stronger than you as well as the high probability of your body exploding or decaying due to it not being able to handle the power emitted by the organs of a higher-ranking creature. It is a much faster method compared to training endlessly, but most people are unable to evolve through this method due to their bodies being extremely fragile alongside various other factors however it is the method most commonly used by demigods, heroes and even a few gods and divine beings. This method of evolution is known as Forced evolution.]
Anna paused for a moment before continuing, her voice getting louder due to her increased excitement at her discovery.
[But you are different from the other players in the tower due to your two passive skills which prevent you from dying easily and as well as also absorbing the characteristics and skills of the monsters that you kill which perfectly fits the description of Forced evolution however while Forced evolution only transfers the characteristics of a creature, your void skill also transfers their skills as well which makes it more efficient.]
"Alright so what method of evolution would you suggest I do?" I asked.
[I would suggest using a fifth method of evolution which I have come up with of based on your skills and stats.]
[I call it Anna's evolution method]
[This method is basically a combination of some of the other evolution methods in which you will undertake Forced evolution which will allow you to evolve physically while also training consistently in order to adapt your mind to your mind to your new abilities and also from time to time you will take useful elixirs that will increase the strength and stability of the obtained monster characteristics. Your high divinity as well as the conqueror of death skill will neutralize some of the elixirs' side-effects like the loss of all your teeth while the void skill will enable you to ingrain the monster's characteristics and abilities more into your body.]
[Forced evolution also results in a change in personality which you may have experienced when you encountered the Monisar]
A change in personality? So, the excitement that I felt when the Monisar charged towards me as well as the pleasure I felt from killing them all one by one was a result of having inherited the characteristic of the Lycanrin which I knew enjoyed stalking and killing its prey.
