The story was told by the explorers who discovered an ancient scroll eighty years ago in an underground library deep beneath the catacombs of the Temple of Jerusalem where the dead priests lay in silence after their lifetime in service to God.
Originally it was said that in the beginning, the angel Lucifer rebelled against God and was cast out of heaven along with the horde of angles who had supported his rebellion, but the story was only a mere overlay of the truth, as described in the ancient scroll.
The scroll was written in an ancient language that was so rare that the number of people who could speak the language in the world were only at most a hundred. They were people who were discovered five years ago to be living deep in a cave in Vietnam that was large enough to house a skyscraper and was connected to more than 150 caves located in the nearby mountain ranges through underground tunnels which have not been fully explored even till this day.
Luckily for the explorers they were welcomed by the community there and after spending ten years with them, they were able to learn the culture and language of these people. Most of the explorers at this point had already died of old age and hence when the news and history channels came looking for their story about the ancient people and their language, there were only two explorers left however they were both near death's door considering that they were both nearly a hundred years old. In the documentary of the two explorers "Hank and Aaron", the explorers told the viewers about the culture of the people who were known as "Estranghe" which meant the "first men".
The Estranghe worshipped a single God similar to Christians however their origin stories of the beginning of the world were different to that of the Bible. In Christianity, God created everything in six days however according to the Estranghe, God didn't create everything in six days but rather in fourteen days. They said that the early Christians changed some of the information of the beginning when they made various versions of the Bible.
"But why would they change a historical event in the book that they consider the most holy object of their belief?" asked a reporter filled with curiosity. She had a sense for these things and she could tell that this was the scoop of the century, and she was the first to report on it. She could already imagine how famous she would be after this.
Hank squinted his eyes as he looked at the reporter, his face turning pale at the question as if he already knew the answer but was too afraid to say it. For the next five minutes, the entire audience as well as the camera crew remained pin drop silent, their faces slowly beginning to twist in agony at the curiosity of the knowledge this man possessed.
Hank finally opened his mouth and spoke in a low shaky voice as his hands trembled at the thought of what he was about to say and how it might affect the beliefs of people across the world.
"It was because they were afraid."
'What??...'. Was the incomplete question that went through the minds of everyone including me at that very moment. The reporter then spoke after a few seconds of thought the very question that we were all asking ourselves.
"What were they afraid of?"
At this point Hank was shivering so much that he was unable to say another word but instead all that came out of his mouth were low utters of gibberish. It was clear that he would be unable to continue the interview and so Aaron answered in his stead.
"They were afraid of the retribution that might come with the acquisition of this knowledge. It is information that completely changes the viewpoint of history."
The reporter was puzzled by Aaron's response because even if what he said was true, she highly doubted that it was information that could change the entire world's view. Still…her curiosity as a reporter made her even more interested in what he had to say.
"So, what is this extremely frightening knowledge?" asked the reporter
"All right I'll tell you but before I begin, I should warn you of the consequences of delving into knowledge that shouldn't be known. In my opinion I believe the writers of the bible were right in removing the information from the book."
"It's fine I will bear the consequences so tell me about what you learned" said the reporter. After all in her mind she had already made her decision to acquire this information no matter what.
"Alright, I shall start by what I learned about the beginning of the world. First of all, it was not a single god but multiple gods as well as divine beings who created the world. The Bible was correct in the order of how things were created;"
"On the first day light was created.
On the second day the sky was created.
On the third day the land, sea and vegetation were created
On the fourth day the sun, moon and stars were created
On the fifth day the sea creatures and birds were created"
"On the sixth day however, it was not mankind that was created but rather the servants of the gods and divine beings were created. The divine beings believed that they shouldn't be alone in watching the birth of the world and so they created servants who are known all over the world as angels. The angels were created using the divine essence of the gods and hence unlike other creations, they were special in the sense that they were almost god-like.
The angels performed numerous tasks however their most common tasks were narrowed down to three tasks.
Obey the commands of the gods at any cost Worship and serve the gods as their servants Take care of gods creations
At that point the divine beings and the gods stopped creating life and for a few centuries they watched as their creation flourished and grew under the guidance and care of the angels however the gods began to get anxious and restless"
"But why would they get restless when they had made everything so perfectly and beautiful?"
Aaron paused as he took a sip of water. At this point the documentary was ranked first on the top ten most searched things in all web engines which meant that almost everyone in the world was watching it at that very moment. The students in school at the time all watched the documentary on their personal mobile phones while the CEOs in the most major companies watched the documentary on their large flat screen TV in their mansions. On that day the economy dropped significantly due to most of the people in the world simultaneously taking a day off as if something in the back of their minds was telling them to listen to the story of these two explorers.
