Tuesday night on the 31st of December in the year 2020. 
I remember this day extremely well because it was the day I committed suicide ...... and also the day it all began. 
Instead of descending to the afterlife as I had wished I instead ended up being placed in the Tower of Chaos as a participant in a competition. 
That's fine then since I could simply kill myself if I didn't wish to participate but the problem was Hades the god of Death chose me as his successor meaning that suicide wasn't an option.
Though he did say what I had to do to have a peaceful death.......I simply had to reach the top of the tower. 
But were things really that simple?

Vathtuth, instinctuvely fearful of what this monster was planning to do to him, continued pleading wholeheartedly even beginning to offer deals and compromises should I let him go. The other demons around us had also started stating their opinions on the matter after seeing the gradual plot development. The majority of them were shouting for me to kill him, their gazes malicious hoping to see an interesting. There were some others however who showed simpathy for Vathtuth shouting things like….

"…He may be a dick but he doesn't deserve to die"
