  "You did what you wanted to do. I hope he does what I couldn't do," Gabriel said.

"Is that it?" Sophia asked. She hadn't expected Gabriel to react as he did. 

"Yes. You're right. It's for the best that we break up. We can't keep blaming each other for our choices. I will need to focus on my dad for now. If you'll excuse me," Gabriel said, and Sophia moved to let him pass.

Jim and Jael's 37th wedding anniversary was nearing, and though they didn't want to celebrate it, Carol was adamant that they do.

"These days, marriages don't last for long, so we better celebrate yours. We better let others know that marriage really works," Carol insisted.

"If you insist, then you must invite Karen over. She needs to be with us," Jael said.

"I'll do that," Carol answered, beaming with joy. She turned to leave, and Jael asked her to switch on the TV, which she did, then left.
