He thought of calling her, they hadn't talked since they had an argument over their dad's will, whose contents they still didn't know.

Alice had disappeared after joining the new church, and no one could get hold of her through the phone.

It was strange, and Gabriel couldn't stop worrying about her.

After she left, Gabriel had hopefully waited for her to come back after realizing that her new church didn't align with her beliefs as a Christian, but one or two weeks later, there was absolutely no news from her.
