Just How Fast the Night Changes

"You fucking lost your mind. I'm not doing this. I don't have time for this," Arnold shouted as he held Val's hands and asked that they go away.

"You really think this a joke Arnold? I have fucking lost everything in my life. My good work at the orphanage, the friends I met there and the good name I had worked so hard to make for myself. I have also lost my children. The two will never want anything to do with me, all because you thought it wise to meddle in this family business," Mercy screamed in hatred and Val felt goosebumps all over her body.

"You can't blame me for that. What is happening to you is exactly what you deserve, perhaps even much more," Arnold said, his brows knitted and the mouth twisted in a snarl.

Tired of being the third wheel in the conversation, Val slowly turned to Arnold and asked exactly what was going on.

"I want to know. Everything." She commanded Arnold.
