Too Late to Love Her

Watching keenly, Evans saw that Sam's hands were shaking, and he knew it was then or never for him.

He slowly walked towards Sam, his hands in the air.

"Don't move, or I'll shoot," Sam warned angrily, but Evans defied him and stood so close to him that they could feel each other's breath.

"Why me?" Evans asked in a low voice, intending to buy time.

"Don't talk!" Sam shouted while glaring at him.

Evans gritted his teeth, but he still nodded obediently. He carefully took a step back, which put Sam's guard down.

Suddenly, Evans hit Sam hard in the stomach.

"Ouch!" Sam screamed in pain as he held his stomach. Evans hit him again, and Sam screamed once again, his noise attracting the attention of Evans' family members and the cops.

The gun fell from Sam's hand, and Evans kicked it away. Sam tried getting up, as Evans screamed at the top of his voice.
