Innocent, pretty, kind, and compassionate were the fitting descriptions for Karen Barger. She had been living her perfect life until it had begun to crumble at a time she least expected it.

'So clever of him. He hired hitmen and used the identity of his victim. No one would have ever found him,' Diadry thought.  She felt like a sadist thinking that at least the accident had happened and led them to Nathan.

"You have to give up something to get something," her mother's voice rang loud in her mind and she smiled.

The second man also identified Nathan as Carey Smith with only Cheryl knowing his true identity.

After the identification, the three were led back to their cells as Diadry walked into the examining room.

"Let's start from today's accident. What happened?" Diadry asked.

"It was a fucking mistake," Nathan said between clenched teeth and Diadry chuckled before asking him to mind his language.

"I don't know... It just happened so fast before I could do anything," Nathan lamely defended himself.
