  "Do you expect her to  stay with the man who assaulted her and co-parent?" Linda asked sarcastically.

"Her biggest problem isn't the assault, it has never been," Francis said arrogantly. " Her problem is her son. She cares so much for him, just like I do  hence I want to help. She works but barely earns enough and I don't want my kid living as if I don't exist,"

  "Have you for once thought how your presence might be affecting the plaintiff right now? She has been strong for so long. First, she had to carry to term a child conceived as a result of assault, not once has she mistreated the child because all that happened isn't his fault. Yet, in some twisted way, you don't acknowledge all that. For you, this is just about money," Linda said and looked up in amusement to see how frustrated Francis had become.
