"I don't understand what you're talking about," Eric managed to answer in a low voice.

"Eric, pretense won't get us anywhere. This is a serious matter with serious accusations that can send someone behind bars," Jim answered authoritatively.

"I did nothing. I don't know what the hell is going on," Eric answered honestly, getting frustrated that no one believed him.

'What are they even talking about? Asking Serena to drug her guardians?  This is fucking ridiculous,' he thought to himself angrily.

"How can you even believe all they are saying? Serena had the kids all along. If I was so desperate as she claims, would I not have asked her to drug her guardians early? Besides, you all know that Serena does exactly what she wants. When it all backfires, she looks for straws to cling onto," Eric almost shouted, his voice had become hoarse from a lot of explaining.
