"I really hope this will work". I said to myself.
Immediately I was done writing the poem, I called Brenda to come over and check it out. Though Brenda was Alicia's bestie, she was also more like my friend as well. Alicia was cool with it coz Brenda was her friend.
(Brenda arrives at my place)
Me: hey Brenda, I want you to check out this poem I wrote for Alicia.
Brenda: Awww, u're such a darling. You wrote it for her? That's so sweet of you (in a cute tone)
Me: thanks. I hope she'll like it.
(Brenda reads the whole Poem)
Brenda: OH MY GOD!... This is like one of the most beautiful, touching poems I have ever read....So creative and touching Jason. U're a really good writer.
Me: thanks Brenda, I really appreciate the encouragement.
Brenda:Oh yeah. and if this poem doesn't make her forgive you, then I don't know what will.
Me: I hope she will dear
Brenda: So when are you gonna give her ?
Me: I was planning today
Brenda: oh, and how are you gonna give her?
Me: Mmmhh..... that's another thing I got to figure out coz it's been three days now that she's been ignoring all my calls and texts...
Brenda: well then, Post it on her timeline, send it as a text again, and then send it to her inbox.
Me: I'll do as wise.... thanks Brenda.
So that day, I sent the poem to Alicia....
I wondered whether she was going to ignore it too....
Having finished posted the poem, I checked on my active status to see the pipo who were active,
and Whoa!
Precious, the cute girl from South Africa was active!
so I took some time to chat with her. Am telling you, chatting with Precious is just so soothing and enjoyful. I really felt so nice talking to her.
Me: Hi there
Her: Ewe, unjani wena?
Me: Huh??? (I was confused)
Her: Unjani? (She repeated)
Me: Arrrrmmm, I can't really understand that language. Am lost...can u plz use English?
Her: Oh sorry,
that means 'how are you', in xhosa. Am used to chatting with ma friends in xhosa so I thought u as well know it.
Me: oh yeah, I get you.... anyways watsup
Her: Am gud n u?
Me: Am great....
Her: ok...
Me: so fry South Africa?
Her: oh yeah, n u?
Me: well, am from Zambia
Her: Nice
Me: oh yeah
I didn't have more to say after this so I logged out. Talking to her made me feel so comfortable and happy. It's like she was the one person I was still missing in my life.... I kept having that kind of a relief whenever I chatted with her.
And now it was two weeks later after I and Alicia had quarrelled. Four days after I posted the poem, Alicia wasn't still replying to me in her inbox. I checked in and it showed that she had seen the poem. Maybe Alicia was serious about this.... Since she didn't want to forgive me, I just made up my mind to let go of her and move on with my life.... Though leaving Alicia wasn't my intention, but it happened that way. That same night, I just lay bed when my phone rang. Checking in who was calling. It was Alicia!
I felt so agitated to see that it was her....
I wondered what she was gonna say. Many thoughts flowed through my mind
whether:-
she loved the poem?
Hated it?
Wanted to shout at me?
I kept staring at my phone for 1 minute as it was ringing. I trembled so much as I tried to pick my phone....
I picked it up and then answered, .
Me: halloo?? (In a taut voice)
Alicia: .... ..(to be continued.. )
WATCH OUT FOR PART 7!!!
