Tonya

I see Claire standing outside the house when I leave the front door. She is looking lost and I look around to try to see why she didn't just jump into her car an leave when I gave her an out. I see that I was so worried that I blocked her in. I chuckle and head to my car so I can let her out. I can see from the corner of my eye that she is nervous about my chuckle. I'm not upset with her at all. I might be if she wasn't so transparent when she met Cindy. It's obvious that she had no idea, but Cindy knew damn well that she had someone.

I place my suitcase in the backseat and jump into the driver seat. I start my car getting ready to pull off when Cindy rushes out of the house. She runs up and knocks on my window. I really don't want anything to do with her right now, but I also don't want the neighbors coming out of their homes trying to see what's happening. I roll down my window about an inch to tell her to go back into the house. Cindy just keeps apologize and asking to talk. I can see Claire sitting in her car trying to ignore us. She looks like she is ready to be anywhere else. I chuckle again and pick up my phone to text her that I'll let her out in a moment.

Cindy looks confused about my laughter but I continue to ignore her as my phone pings and I see Claire has texted back. I told her I'd see her Monday, I hope that she doesn't think I'm upset with her but I definitely don't plan on going into the office the rest of this week. I look up at Cindy and tell her "Cindy I really need you to get away from my car, I'm trying to leave". She actually has the nerve to ask me after I said that "so this is it...Tonya I'm sorry.. this can't be it". I just look at her, put the car in drive and began to move. I see Claire immediately reverse as soon as she has enough room. I chuckle again, even though the situation is no where near funny, Claire's reactions are making me smile. She drives by and I watch her, but not once does she look over. I feel you Claire, I wish I was in the position to just leave without looking back.
