Catastrophe

"I like your conviction, kid. But judging from your wound, at this rate, you are going to be dead in five minutes." Said the man before punching Leon in the face. Damian was too frightened to even move a muscle. He could feel this man's bloodlust, his thirst for life force. This Lunaseeker was in a league of its own.

Out of the twenty or so recruits, only three of them were left, and two are barely alive. "What is your name?" the Lunaseeker knelt at Damian and asked him. "D-Damian. Damian Rose…" the boy replied as best as he could, still shaken.

"I recognize you two. I saw you somewhere at some point, I am sure of it." The masked man said as he placed his point finger at his chin, trying to remember just where it was. "Ah! I remember, you two lived in those woods near the mountains, right? When was it…two years ago?"

Damian's pupils stopped shaking. He realized just who this man was. He was the one responsible for the massacre of he and Leon's family.

The kid stood up and casted several projectiles at the Lunaseeker, but it was like a faint breeze of wind hitting against a sturdy tree. The Lunaseeker was unscathed as he struck Damian in the chest, rendering the kid immobile.

Hearing that this man was the one who killed his parents, Leon forced himself to stand up as he launched several swings at him. "If you saw us, why did you leave us alive? Answer me, you godamn monster!" Leon's shout echoed throughout the forest.

A forest filled with blood and mayhem. Lifeless bodies flung at every direction, this was hell. No. It was a recreation of it, here on Earth.

The Lunaseeker stayed quiet, however. It was like he did not hear Leon at all. "Two minutes. You should have been dead two minutes ago." He uttered to Leon. "But it is not your time to die just yet."

He picked Leon up by the collar and slammed him to the ground. A loud thud and the horrific screams of Leon said it all. The masked man raised his right hand and held Leon by the throat. "Let us see how you cling to life after this." Sanya tried her best to get out of the binding blood, but it was just not budging.

Red veins started to show on the man's arms, blood started to come out of the palms of his hands as he made Leon forcibly drink it. "I will turn you into a Lunaseeker. Whether you survive or not, it will still be fun!"

Leon's cries of agony lasted seemingly forever. His stomach wound slowly closed up, as well as his other wounds. "Good. You're acclimating to it even better than I expected, kid."

Leon Vergil desperately gasped for air as the man put him down. His pupils turned from blue to a dark shade of red. "W-What's happening to me?!" Leon felt every single inch of his body crawling with something abnormally powerful and unpleasant.

Damian and Kyro were out of commission already, struck far too hard for them to wake up. A stream of lightning came from the dark, the Lunaseeker dodged it easily, however.

It was Kanon Sokolov. His black Umbra Knight cape made it obvious even at nighttime. "What the fuck did you just do?" the Commander asked after looking at the surroundings. His voice was calm but his eyes were that of a raging storm - ready to engulf anything in his path.
