"We could not really afford to keep living above. The taxes got higher and higher as work and employment got even harder to come by. Even my brother went to join the Umbra Knights in order to lift us up from poverty." The kid said. 

"Then what happened?" Damian Rose leaned in to ask him.

The kid could not help but give off a sad, disenchanted and quite frankly tired smile. "He could not get in. It was revealed that he did not have the affinity to cast magic spells." The kid replied.

Damian soon remembered just how rough the training to become and Umbra Knight was. And there were some clear instances of some people and individuals who had amazing physical strength and bodily control over their magnificent forms, but in the end, they did not get recruited because they were not able to cast spells with their wands.
