Chapter Fifteen

Bloom's POV

I didn't tell Ari anything about that night.

Nothing happened after that night.

The alpha never came to my room again. He never even looked at me.

It's been a month now since I've been here with Ari.

How did I know?

Well, Ari never stop teaching me new things and as for kyra, well she never liked us and isn't planning to.

Mom is very nice to us and I love spending time with her in the kitchen. Mostly because I learn how to cook and bake a lot of things.

Blueberry's are my favorite but things made with blue berries are the best.

I learnt how to use a phone last week and once Ari left the room, I searched How to kiss and well videos were shown.

Fifteen seconds to the video and I was already a red tomato.

I wanted steps not action and after that I never touched the phone.

I love reading so that's what I do when I'm bored but I read large novels to learn large words so I could look it up in a dictionary which if I may add is my favorite search engine.

No actions required, just words.

The door opened and I looked up from my book to find Ari walking in.

"He came again?" I asked and she nodded before slumping down on my bed.

I've warmed up to Ari now and I see her as the older version of Har.

"This is the seventeenth time" I said still looking at the book on my lap with the dictionary beside me.

"So you count?"

I shrugged while she sat up rubbing her eyes.

"So what's your plan?" I asked Ari who just shrugged nonchalantly.

Another one of my new words.

While Ari stared at my room's wall, I couldn't help but envy her.

The beta comes every night to Ari's room and then they make out.

They haven't mated yet but Ari thinks the beta is using her for bedroom purposes only.

She wants to be known as the beta female but she's never told him that.

Why?

Because he comes into her room, touches her and then she loses all her senses.

Once, she locked the door and the windows but the beta managed to get into her room through her bathroom window and they made out as usual.

He didn't mark her and he doesn't even talk to her but I still deem her lucky.

At least her mate doesn't ignore her or avoid her because that's what the Alpha's doing to me but I can't tell her this because it's not just right.

"Bloom, are you even listening?" Ari asked with her right hand stroking her chin.

"Uhhh yes and no"

"Yes and no, what's that even suppose to mean you know what, never mind. I said I'm blank"

I'm blank according to Ari means I don't have a plan.

She's tried everything to make the beta stay away from her.

Last week she acted sick and mom told her to rest.

As soon as she locked the door behind her, the beta crawled out from under the bed, touched her and well you know the rest.

"Urghhhhh" Ari groaned pulling her hair. I winced though it wasn't my hair.

"Maybe you should go to bed early" I suggested making Ari glare at me.

"Or maybe not" I muttered under my breath.

"I've 'slept' early thrice last week"

"Ariana!! Bloom!!! It's dinner time" mom shouted from downstairs.

"Coming!!!!" Ari screamed back louder.

I winced.

I can't shift doesn't mean my senses are dull.

Ari groaned again.

That's what she's been doing since last week anytime it's dinner time because she gets to see Kyra while I on the other hand hates dinner.

I get to see my mate who's been ignoring me so yeah, dinner sucks.

I wore my slippers and headed downstairs with Ari.

Kyra was there scowling at us and probably wishing we could just disappear into thin air while Ari returned a glare to her.

Sitting down in my seat, I waited for everyone to take their own share before I took mine.

Mom was grumbling something under her breath until her phone rang. She stared at it and then she switched off her phone.

"Mom what's wrong?" the beta asked and from the corner of my eye, I saw the alpha glance at mom worriedly.

Ari and Kyra had stopped glaring at each other as they stared at mom.

"You two are my problem"mom said pointing at my mate and the beta, "Mercy and Stacy are grandmothers already. Their two daughters found their mates a week after you found yours and they're already pregnant. If you two won't mark your mates in two weeks then you'll perform publico copula."

Mom left, my mate remained emotionless, the beta began to clear his throat while Kyra began to laugh.

Ari and I stared at at kyra's laughing figure. Tears were running down her cheeks.

"What's funny?"Ari asked, disgust seeping out of each word.

"Oh you know, publico copula is a thing or a tradition our pack usually do. Two mates that don't want to mate each other are brought in a room with the oldest elders and the male is suppose to insert the USB"

And just like that, Ari began her coughing fit while kyra leaned forward handing me a glass of water which I immediately handed over to Ari who drank it all in one go.

What's going on? If I'm correct, USB is suppose to store information, then what's wrong if the male inserts the USB?

Mom walked in that moment holding her bag. She sat down and began to eat while I stared at Ari asking her what's wrong with my eyes.

She swallowed and then leaned into my ear, "Publico copulo is when the two mates f**k each other in front of the elders".

And just like that, my coughing fit began.

Kyra began to laugh as well.

Ari handed me a glass of water which I hurriedly gulped.

"Are you okay?" Mom asked worry lacing her tone.

I nodded unable to speak.

What kind of tradition is that?!!

"Did I forget to mention that the two mates perform thirty s*x styles like doggy style in wolf form, corkscrew, face off, pretzel dip, flatiron, G-whiz, cowgirl's helper, wheelbarrow, stand and deliver, Leap-frog, golden arch, reverse scoop, scoop me up, magic mountain, cow girl, reverse cowgirl for short girls like bloom here, cowbow, ballet dancer, missionary, cross booty, caboose,..."

"And how would you know?" Ari asked interrupting Kyra.

"I may or may not have witnessed it" said Kyra, a smirk gracing her lips. She looked meaner than Cinderella's stepmother.

Mom groaned again making us turn our heads towards her.

"I'm leaving now, I'll be back by midnight. Marcy and Stacy are bringing their pregnant daughters on a run and they want me to come with them" mum said emphasizing on the word pregnant.

And with that mom left.

I couldn't eat anymore and I wasn't planning on looking up any of those styles that Kyra mentioned.

I could feel my face heat up as I saw a mental image of my mate and I naked.

"Come on, bloom. Let's go to bed"

Ari said as she stood up.

I followed after her and once we reached the top stairs, I heard Kyra say "Good night" in a mocking tone.

Ari walked me to my room as usual and left to finish what Kyra started.

Going to the bathroom, I did my business and walked out only to be pushed to the wall.

Soft lips covered mine hungrily and the sparks that flew between us became more electrifying.

Mel whimpered while I moaned.

My hands went around his neck and pulled him closer.

Alpha Xerox brought my thighs forward and I wrapped them around his waist just like I saw in the fifteen seconds video I watched.

His lips lingered on my lower lip a bit but his tongue didn't slip into my mouth though I left it open.

My back came in contact with my bed and then he pulled away.

His eyes were bright as he stared down at me.

"Goodnight" he whispered placing a kiss on my forehead before leaving.

I couldn't help the smile that graced my lips and I was more than happy that he actually talked to me.

Though it was a word, It meant a lot to me.

At least he didn't leave me hanging like the last time.

Closing my eyes, I slipped into dreamland.
