Chapter 49-2: Albino meeting

A person I'd always been used to connecting with and laughing with, right up until the very last moment, in the midst of uncertainty about the immediate future.

Yet, she approached her slowly and made sure to hug her tightly, comforting her until she calmed down, in silence, without any resistance.

"Shhh... calm down."

She repeatedly wiped away a few of her stifled tears with those delicate fingertips, then pulled out the nearest tissue on the table and offered it to her.

She patted it gently and cried, moved.

Her repeated whispers, without exaggeration, were comforting and soothing, like a lullaby.

That scent, that voice, and that warm, soft touch.

He gave her a reminder.

She would miss him dearly.

In the vastness of this living, changing world,

she finally realized how frustrated, broken, and lonely she had truly become.
