Chapter 16

Chapter 16

I chase my breathe while I continue to run from the meal house. Luckily, I managed to exit before Khai had found me. Or did he see me by chance? But Nah! I don't care. As long as he did not see me with dad, I am okay.

But is Khai's family running a business too? I wonder how he knew my dad.

Anyway, how the hell did I come here.

Then I felt the vibration in my pocket. It was dad calling me again.

"Why did you call me?" I asked angrily.

"Right now or a while ago?" He even dared to ask.

"Dad!" I shouted on the phone annoyed.

"Okay. Okay. He was going to your direction that's why I called," he explained. Now I understood it. "Where are you anyway?"

"I'm at-" I looked around to find signage. I am not yet familiar with this place and I think I just lost my way.

"Sam where are you?" Dad asked again.

"I don't know," I said still finding somewhere but all I can see were buildings ahead of me and my dad's call was being cut off. "Shit," I said and tried finding a signal.

I walked around and there were multiple roads everywhere, I don't know what to take and which road did I take to come here. There were people around. Different people.

I tried to near a woman in thick clothes, she was consuming her cigarette very hard, her jawline was drawn. I looked around. Like everyone was holding a stick of cigar and some were even holding bottles of sheeks what kind of place am I in.

"Excuse me," I tried to get her attention. She looked at me with sobber eyes. But threw her left cigar in the street and ignored me. Dude, she was kinda scary.

My heart races with my breath. I'm scared. Some groups of men were staring at me in the dirty corner with their empty bottles. They were drinking.

Then a man was waving his hand calling for me. I ignored him trying to find my way.

It was getting darker and I always end up in the same place. Sober people were sleeping in the wall streets. Where the fuck am I! Starting to get irritated.

Then a decent woman walks by, I chased her.

"Hey!" I started to get impatient and did not mind my respect for elders. She looks like a mom who passes nearby. "Hey!"

She turned around and noticed me for a bit but soon enough ignored me walking away. I run to talk to her and even touched her shoulders.

She got scared, moving away. "Get away from me! Please!" She begged.

"I am not gonna hurt you, I'm lost, I'm just finding my way out of here," I explained calmly. "Do you know this place perhaps you can show me a way out in the main road," I begged her to help me out?

"Are you lost, ladies?" A drunken asked us. He was holding a knife in his hand and simply tossing it in the air. Looks like in his mid-40s.

The woman looked at me. "Run!" she shouted running away by herself that it was too late for me to follow. I was like a statue waiting for my death.

I began to stutter, don't know what to say and my body had forgotten to move. My eyeballs were the only ones twitching and peeking around. Other men were approaching.

"Who's she?" One asked.

"Lost Girl," the man holding a knife spoke.

I gulped my saliva. I did not dare to move. I was probably a half-meter away from everybody. Frightened and afraid. I took a deep breath.

Then a phone rang, took all our attention. It was from my pocket. I slowly dig it in but the ringing stopped.

'Daddy!' I wanted to scream but my mouth does not let me.

It might be dad calling. The signal might have interrupted.

'Dad, come save me!'

But all I can do was stay frozen thinking what to do next.

"Oh, there is no signal in this place so it will get cut. Do you know where you're at?" The man seemed nice to talk to me. He was in the native accent.

I only wiggled my head more times than he needed the answer no.

"Where'd you come from?" the same man asked.

"Oh cut the shit, Danny let's just do the fun," one of his companions suggested.

Fun? What fun are they talking about? My heartbeat raced faster. I could only glare at them. They've got big built sizes.

"Shut it, Marco! She's mine!" The man shouted. Mine? what does he mean by that? No. No. Then my mouth started to form an O.

"No," it was a soft no I managed to speak.

"What's your name?" he continued to entertain me and he kept on looking at my legs up to my chest where he had to stare for a long time. I was trembling in fear. The idea of rape got in my head. I can feel my breath going heavier.

"Please don't," I begged as my tear began to fall. "No!" I grind my teeth to stay strong no matter what next situation is going to happen.

"I am asking your name. Missy," he started to talk in a different mode.

"S-s am-thaa."

"Oh her name is Santa?" One of the men holding a beer started to poke fun at it and they all began laughing.

"Okay Santa, Come here!" the man asked and moved his hand holding a knife to call for me.

I was in terror, all I could do was obey the command.

He wraps his arms around me making me feel uncomfortable and he started talking in the closeness space.

"I'm Danny," the man introduced himself as he wipes the wetness in my cheeks. His breath spewed to my face. It was a mixture of cigar and liquor smell making me want to vomit.

I only nodded to everything he says even though I don't find myself listening. The only thing I understood was something like a play kidnap.

"You heard me?" Danny repeated.

I nodded as a response.

"Tie her up and bring her inside," he then commanded his companions.

Someone removed my bag from my back and dug my phone out of my pocket. He held it while sniffing it hardly and his dirty stare was thawing me in disdain.

A man holding a cable tie wire came and held my hand while he ties it. I can feel his body over me. He was hissing around.

"You're pretty fresh. I like ye," he whispered right into my earhole.

I moved from him in disgust.

"Hey!" Danny shouted at him and immediately released me from his surround.

I feel Danny is a good man but his boys are very cunning. I know what there thinking of me. I had a good shape thanks to mom but I don't think it's for anyone.

We entered a building, an abandoned building just like the others. The light bulb dimmed. It is like everything is used for centuries.

They prepared a good seat for me. And I was facing Danny.

"Leave all of you!" He commanded.

He looked at me. Observed.

I felt better than the boys were no more in my sight. Taking a deep breath to accustom myself to the atmosphere.

"You know me?" I bravely asked.

Danny smiled and lets a little laugh while he holds it. I knew it. From the moment he did not dare to touch me, something was crazy different.

And that reaction, I am right in my gesture. He looked at my chest. I stare at him. What a pervert.

"How is Sarah doing ?" He suddenly asked.

Sarah? Am I getting this wrong?

My mother, Sarah? Not my father but my mother?

I shook my head.

He did not get his eyes off my chest. I curled my head to look at the same spot his eyes were.

The necklace. My necklace? Mom's necklace. So he was looking at my mom's necklace.

How did he know my mother?

I had an incredible laugh. "You knew my mom?" I asked in confusion trying to get in his head.

"Why are you here kiddo?" Danny asked me with a change of expression.

"I lost my way," I replied. Yet. "How did you know my mom?" I asked again. He was making the topic off.

"Trust me, you don't wanna know," he got out his knife and stab it on the table.

Now the atmosphere changed around us. His kind face turned monstrous. I returned with the same feeling I had a while ago. Scared in panic. He stood and neared me.

Danny leaned on the table facing me. I looked up at him. I dared to.

"You got her eyes perfectly. Her lips and that body," Danny began to laugh differently. "Oh, Sarah!" He sniffed his fingers. He's on drugs. Shit. This is dangerous.

I was tied and I am sitting but I realized, I was not tied on my chair, got up immediately. Now we're facing each other, I took steps aback till I reached the walls.

Danny sniffed again. This time it was harder. "You are much prettier than her. You got it all young lady," he said while looking at me letting his tongue stick out to his dried lips.

It makes me get shudders and tremble while I hardly stood up leaning on the walls that might save me at the moment.

"You have to pay me for what your mother did!" Danny said angrily.

"What has she done to you?"

"I was jailed for twenty-five years don't you know that?!!" He shouted at me. "Twenty-five years!! I was innocent!! I was wronged because of Sarah." His voice started to fall into a loud tone.

I did not know any of this. I do not know any of it. Was mom raped? I started to cry again. This time I tried to harden my wrists to get through the ties.

I need to immediately get the hell out of here.

"And you'll pay for that twenty-five years. I will do what I was wrongly accused of," Danny smiled and removed his upper clothes. "Don't cry, no one is coming for you," he assured.

The pants were all that was left. He looked at me. I was crying afraid as I try to get the ties off.

He smiled devilishly and held his belt starting to untie.

"I was waiting for this!" He laughed.

He slowly approached.

"BANG!" the door opened.

Before Danny could touch me that door opened. He turned around to look who dared to mess.

"Sam!" the man shouted panting loudly. He was holding my bag in his hands right in the middle of the doorway. I can see the blood drips off from his knuckles.

'You came! I cried in the hope of a savior.
