Ch 46 : Pakura

Chisaki greeted Pakura as he took a seat in front of her.

Actually, he was still wondering what topic he should say first as to not make the situation awkward.

However, Pakura's next action had clearly caught him off-guard.

The moment Chisaki sat down, he felt like Pakura was putting all her gaze on him and seemed to be very interested in him.

' *Gulp* This girl wouldn't be in love with me, right?'

That thought crossed Chisaki's mind as he shuddered.

Well, you could not blame Chisaki for this. Even though they were still young, girls in Naruto world tend to mature a lot faster than on the earth, and it was not strange to see a girl fall in love with a boy at this age.

Just look at Sasuke and Sakura; Sakura had been chasing Sasuke since she was a kid, and if Chisaki was not wrong, their age shouldn't be that much different from Chisaki and Pakura's current age.

Chisaki's brain was still thinking hard about how to refuse Pakura if she was to confess, but soon Pakura, who saw Chisaki was ignoring her, seemed to grow impatient.

She sighed a bit and decided to strike the conversation with Chisaki first.

" So... let's stop this chit-chat, and how about we go to the main topic. You and me, don't you want to see who is stronger?"

" ????? "

Chisaki was clearly caught off-guard by this question from Pakura.

So all this time, she wasn't looking at him because she was in love with him?

Chisaki looked at Sasori where he saw Sasori was just shaking his head, like saying that he didn't want to have anything with this.

" You.. you are not in love with me?"

" ..... "

Leaving the small restaurant, Pakura led Chisaki and the others to an empty training ground that her team often used to train.

It was on the corner of Suna, and for some reason, Chisaki could see a lot of scorch marks here.

From the look of it, the battle here was very intense, and it was not the first time this place held such a battle.

Chisaki shifted his head to look at Pakura, and for some reason, a frown appeared on his face.

If it's Pakura, then he might need to be a bit serious.

On the other hand, Pakura was watching Chisaki full of interest too. In the ninja academy, she had always placed third, with both Chisaki and Sasori dominating the first and second place.

She also heard from her sensei, karura that Chisaki was a top contributor in the ninja war, and it made Pakura curious about the gap between the two.

Chisaki and Pakura proceeded to make a seal signify the start of the battle before the two quickly took their distance away.

"Chisaki, please show me the tries strength of Suna's number one Genius!"

Pakura's words left Chisaki blinking. Maybe because he has been too long fighting in the war, Chisaki had a different mindset from people his age. Shouldn't they just fight instead of talking?

Thought him secretly on his heart.

Nonetheless, he didn't respond to Pakura's words, and he went towards her straight ahead. He created a hardened sand glove and blinked right in front of Pakura.

He wanted to find out how strong was the current Pakura, so different than usual, where he would immediately create a Golem to crush his opponent without mercy; he went for a Taijutsu battle.

Pakura wasn't fazed by his attack. He had heard about some of Chisaki's tricks from Karura and Sasori, so she had prepared herself.

As the taijutsu battle went on, She quickly becomes the lower hand in this physical showdown. The gap between their strength was just too far, especially considering that Pakura was not a ninja that excels in Taijutsu.

Regardless of the angle from which she launched her attacks, Chisaki seemed to be able to easily block them; it didn't take her long to realize that she wasn't beating him with just Taijutsu.

"Scorch Release: Blast!" A terrible burst of heat came from Pakura's direction that startled Chisaki.

"Reshape: Earth armor!" Feeling the terrible heat from pakura, Chisaki didn't waste his time and quickly covered himself with the earth armor that easily blocked Pakura's pre-emptive attack.

Nonetheless, Chisaki was still shocked by the aftermath that Pakura's scorch release had created. Of it was replaced by a ninja who did not excel in defense. Pakura could turn them into ashes in just one move.

' Damn Klee, you should run. Master Jean is coming..'

To be honest, Chisaki didn't really need to form the earth armor to recover from Pakura's attack. He could just tank it with his body and use his overhaul to recover later.

Still, he wanted to keep his healing ability a secret as it wouldn't be too much to have a trump card.

While the two finished exchanging their attack, they knew that the warm-up was over! Both of them were not one that excels in Taijutsu, and now was the time for the show to truly unfold.
