Take over the Fate

I am Lin Cian. Officially a student of Beginners Knight academy. I want to fight my fate. I won't be useless anymore. I will take the whole responsibility for my fate.

The academy is situated at the end of the village. A huge water resource such as a huge lake was behind the school. The houses in the village are the dorm for the students.

I got my allotted dorm which is 7-9.

The village area is surrounded by mountains. Even the village looked like it was built in between the mountains which is destroyed. I was allotted a room in the seventh-row ninth house. Even if it was said as the house it is barely the size of a room. I am not used to it. My house was somehow situated near the peak which surrounded the area which made a perfect hiding spot for me. Maybe that old man ...hum the principal may have done that to protect me. Anyhow, I am kinda safe now.

When I entered the room it had nothing in it. It looked like four walls were just built up without any plans of making it a room. Can't understand? Sigh, it looked like a storeroom. The servant quarters in Lin's mansion are quite better than this room. Anyhow, I have to manage to stay here but how? When I was wondering what to do with this room and how to make a bed here to sleep, Rita suddenly entered the room with bedding and said

"These are the instructions listen carefully, I hate to repeat. For the next days in the academy, this will be your home. You should be at the training ground at 6 am. I don't care where you mess around but you should be present in your home before 10 pm. For other instructions, you will know when you have to. I am taking my leave. Welcome to beginner's knight academy" as soon as she finished the words she ran out as I am a plague.

After Rita left the home I decided to go around the places and get familiar with the environment.

When I was roaming around I came across many shops. These shops are not ordinary. It was not some hotels. The shops were run by the auxiliary branches. This means the students need weapons and pieces of equipment so different shops provided different needs.

There were inscription shops, medical shops, blacksmith shops, weponaries, tailors and so on. There are also banks, gambling and auction house. Banks give loans to the students for them to get good equipment and the students will have to pay it back little by little. Gambling can help people improve their judgment ability.

After fooling around for some time I was greeted by a person. He was taller than me. Approximately five and a half feet tall, blonde hair, black pupils and chiseled face. He was wearing a black robe.

"Hello, my name is William" he greeted me by extending his hands with a smile on his face. This was new to me because. I suck at socializing but somehow I managed to give my hand to William and started to speak.

"I am Cian," I said with a smile because he is not looking like a bad guy. At least I have a person to rely on.

"Hey, do you need someone to guide you here?"

That is good though...."Sure, why not?"

"Come on, let me take you to a place" William grabbed my hand and dragged me to the training area. He dragged me like a piece of log. So sad I am so weightless. I have to improve my stats. Ooh, my bad. I am dead. Anywhere but a training ground.

"Hehe, can we not go to the training ground for the first day?" I asked following a miserable laugh because I don't want to get hurt on the first day.

Suddenly William's facial expression changed after hearing that. But he forced a smile on his face and asked "Fine where do you want to go?"

You know what I am really talented at identifying the mood of a person just by seeing his or her face. Because that is what I learned most. Suddenly

"Hey, Bastard, where is my money??" a girl with an angry face was confronting William. She looked tiny compared to William. She had red hair and looked the same height as me. She wore brown clothes. Her eyes showed a glare that could burn anything in brown and black color.

She shouted at him like William owed her money. I don't want to get into this problem. If I got a hit I don't know if I can survive. After all my brothers became earth knights at age of 12. This girl is at least 15. Anyone can be stronger than me so I have to maintain my place. So I just watched it from the sideline with an awkward smile.

"Lisa please hear me out. Ca..." before even ending his conversation she intervened

"I don't want your lame excuses. If you didn't give a silver coin you owe me I will never come to practice with you" thus saying this she went away.

I was really confused about what is going on and decided to ask William.

"Hey William, can you please tell me what's going on?" I asked him with a confused expression. He stared at me awkwardly and asked me

"Can you practice with me if I say the reason?".... 'huh'.... did he want to kill me or something? What...

"Do..... don't worry... I won't hurt you. If you can evade my attacks I will give you a copper coin" he said desperately.

Finally, I understood his situation. It was like he have given the same offer to the girl. Upon successfully evading the attacking this blockhead somehow refuse to give her money which he promised her. And it didn't happen for once because 16 coppers make silver so it must be more than once. While I was busy lingering in my thoughts.....

"Cian ... Cian hey" William called me seeing me staring at him like a ghost.

I just came to sense after hearing that scream. Just now I have got a shameful idea just watch me.

"Hey, William it's ok for me to practice with you and I don't need any money. But I want you to promise me something" I asked him because I wanted to practice with someone but without getting hurt. I don't know if I can get this chance back. So I wanted to do all I can to make use of this.

"Really? You don't need any money?" William exclaimed. Hehe, it seems like he took the bait anyhow I have to be careful.

"Of course, I don't need any money but I need you to promise something" I repeated the same. How could he hear something he need but not my part? Huh, strange guy...

"What do you want me to promise?" William asked without thinking anything. I replied him

"You can not hit me"
