chapter 11

A Month had passed. Seth had been going over to Leon's place helping him study, and when Leon initiated it, they also did that. Seth had become addicted to doing that to the point that he wants to do it even if Leon didn't start it. He was actually quite surprised that they did get a good amount of studying done as well. Leon's grades had come up from D's to C's in many of his subjects. Seth wanted to keep Leon on track to see if he could raise is grades even higher. Seth wanted to get him into the B's and if there was a miracle, Leon could even hit A's. However, he knew that it take's time to understand the subjects that they were going over. Leon was not dumb, he just doesn't like to keep information he believes is useless in his brain. Seth couldn't help but laugh quietly to himself as he remembered Leon spouting out those words.

"Okay Everyone! I did want to remind you all that we are planning on going out to the Mountains for our overnight school trip. Make sure that you get your parents to sign the forms for this trip. If you don't bring the form you will not be able to go. We would be leaving on Friday Morning and be back on Sunday morning." Mr. Donalds spoke out as he gave the students in the front a stack of paper to pass backwards.

A mountain trip. That actually sounds like fun. Seth looked behind him to see Leon staring out the window. His chin was paced in the palm of his hand. He had his arm bend, his elbow holding most of the weight on the table. Leon looked bored. Seth never spoke to Leon in class. They never ate lunch together either. They only spoke to each other outside of school, and outside of school meant, only at Leon's house. Other than that, Leon wouldn't look Seth's way no matter how many times he threw glances the other teen's way.

"I'm so happy that you have been able to get Leon to come to class. Even his grades are starting to go up." Mr. Donalds said. He was clasping his hands together. Seth looked at the teacher sitting on his chair. He was called into the teacher's lounge by Mr. Donalds. He was on his way out of the school when the teacher spotted him.

"It's no problem."

"I don't know how his grades are going up, because it seems like he doesn't pay any attention in class." Mr. Donalds rubbed his chin.

"When I have time, I help him study actually." Seth spoke out.

"Oh, is that right?!" Mr. Donalds looked at Seth confused then smiled at the teen. "Then can you keep doing what you're doing. It's helping not only our school but it's also helping him as well. I just hope that boy has a dream he wants to fulfill." Mr. Donalds looked down at the ground for a moment then back up at Seth. He wore a smile. "I really want to thank you. If you haven't taken this task for me, than I think that we would have been in trouble. Not by the school board, but also that boy's father. You know he's sending money to our school, so we have to show we are taking care of his son as well." Mr. Donalds laughed. Seth didn't find it funny at all.

"Um, will it be okay to leave now. I have some things I want to do." Seth spoke up. If he stayed, the man would keep talking.

"Oh, sorry. Yeah. Go ahead. Oh and before you leave." Seth stopped halfway as he was turning to leave. "Make sure your parents sign that form."

"Yes. I will make sure." Seth spoke. He turned to leave the man. Leon was right about one thing. That man only cared about the school. He even admitted to it. Seth flung the bag back up on his back. He could feel it sliding down. He walked out of the building. That man had him in for quite a long time. He wouldn't be surprised at all if Leon was already gone. He made his way over to the parking lot on the other side of the school. He turned around the corner of the building. He looked at the almost deserted parking lot. Only a few cars where left. He scanned the area, but he did not find the motorcycle at all. Seth took in a sigh.

"As expected." Seth flung the bag on his back again when he felt it fall down his shoulder. He turned around and headed towards the sidewalk on the edge of the school. He headed the direction of his house when he heard the sound of a motor. He turned around and saw the bike swerve over to Seth and then stop. Seth knew right away who it was without the man taking off his helmet. He watched as Leon reached to the back to unbuckle the spare helmet while keeping the bike balanced. "What took you so long?" Leon questioned as he handed Seth his helmet.

"The teacher." Seth spoke as he took the helmet from the other teen. "Where were you?" Leon pointed to the back. Seth knew there was a storage area there, but he didn't know what was in it. He looked back at Leon for a moment then put the helmet on his head. Swinging his leg over the seat and not kicking Leon, which took some practice, Seth grabbed a hold of Leon, but not after putting his arm in the other strap on his bag. Leon revved the bike as he sped off.
