Poor Girl

Sam put back the glass he had just used to drink on the kitchen table, to be honest, this was something he hated, waking up in the early morning thirsty. Usually, he prepares a glass of water in his room, but tonight he forgot to do it.

Sam's eyes narrowed as he accidentally saw the light silhouette of a sleeping woman curled up under the table.

Sam immediately got goosebumps for a moment, when he was about to run away and run as fast as possible from the kitchen, his steps were stopped because he heard someone's moaning sound that made his heart feel like it stopped beating. He quickly turned on the light and looked under the table.

How surprised he was when he saw Jasmine sleeping curled up there.

Sam immediately removed all the chairs that were in his way and moved slowly to reach the girl. He carried Jasmine and took the girl to his room.

After putting Jasmine down on his bed, Sam sat on the edge of the bed feeling confused.

'What happened?'

Jasmine's face was pale with a few bruises on the corners of her lips and forehead. Not only that, her arms and thighs were also red.

What is it? What happened? Sam shook frantically.

Even in her sleep, the girl shed tears.

"What's wrong with you, Jasmine? What happened?" Sam whispered as he gently caressed the corners of Jasmine's lips with his thumb.

The man intended to leave his room and look for Joe because after all, this was still Jasmine's schedule with his youngest brother. Joe is responsible for whatever happened to Jasmine.

"Sam," Jasmine whispered.

Jasmine pulled Sam's hand, as he was about to get out of bed.

"Jasmine? What happened? Tell me!"

Jasmine opened her sad eyes and smiled sadly. A smile that makes Sam's heartthrob in pain.

"I'm okay," said Jasmine slowly.

"No kidding! Who did this to you?" Sam started to raise his voice intonation.

Jasmine shook her head slowly and smiled once again.

"Don't be so loud! The others will wake up later!" the girl whispered.

"Hey! Why are you sleeping under the table? Why are you hurt? Why do you look so weak? Why? Say something!" Sam couldn't hold back his emotions anymore.

He was very upset. Of course, how could Jasmine get hurt when she was at home? Who could have the heart to hurt that girl in this house?

"Sam, lower your voice! Look, it's still very early!" Jasmine shows the watch that the man always keeps under his pillow.

It's half past four in the morning.

"Jasmine, say something! Come on!"

"Don't be mad, he must not be aware he did that to me!" softly Jasmine.

Who is he?

Sam cupped Jasmine's face with both hands and looked deeply into Jasmine's eyes.

"Who is he? Hum? Tell me!"

Again Jasmine shook her head weakly, she didn't want them to fight because of her. Not being overconfident or anything, but looking at Sam's gaze, it was clear that he was ready to explode whenever Jasmine mentioned the name of the person who had hurt her.

Jasmine was silent, her body almost collapsed because of her weakness, luckily Sam quickly caught her and laid the girl on the bed.

The girl's memory swirled around the scene a few hours ago. Just in the middle of the night, Joe came home drunk, the man looked confused and filled with anger. Joe grabbed her body roughly and slapped her across the face several times. Jasmine was too confused to run to save herself. Joe's grip on her arm was very strong, the man slammed her body on the bed and kissed Jasmine forcibly. If the girl refused, Joe did not hesitate to hit her again.

Jasmine grimaced in pain feeling the corners of her lips that felt sore. Joe is very rude.

The man is drunk.

Jasmine's body felt crushed, Joe didn't want to let her go even when Jasmine screamed and cried. Until finally he was tired and fell asleep.

Jasmine is too afraid to ask Sam or Bara for help. So she hide under the dining table for fear that Joe would wake up and look for her.

Jasmine was not angry, she knew that Joe was not aware that he did that because the man was under the influence of liquor. It's just that, she felt sad, she remembered again with Sam's words that good people seem to have a good life too. But what is this? What's with his life? Is she not good enough? Why did such a bad life come to her?

"Did Joe do this?" Sam looked straight at Jasmine who lay limply nearby.

He wished Jasmine would say no. After all, Joe is his brother. However, he also couldn't let the person who had injured Jasmine get away with it.

"Sam, he's drunk. I'm sure he didn't realize he was doing this."

Sam cursed in his heart.

Joe is an asshole, pathetic. Joe knows very well that his tolerance for alcohol is very low, why does he drink?

"Where is he?"

"Sleep in bed. Please don't do anything, Sam, just pretend you don't know. Hum? Please, let me take care of this. I'll talk to him when he wakes up."

Sam looks frustrated. Can't understand how his brother could do that to Jasmine.

Even though Jasmine was only his maid, he shouldn't have done this to Jasmine.

Unlucky!

Sam adjusted Jasmine's blanket and gently stroked the top of the girl's head.

"Well, you sleep huh! If you feel sick, you say!" said Sam softly.

Jasmine nodded slowly. She closed her eyes and fell asleep. It was a very tough night for her. She wished she had slept for a long time, even if she could, she wished she would never wake up again.

Sam pulled a chair closer to the bed and sat there. He looked closely at Jasmine's face.

This all feels so wrong. Their father sent Jasmine to them to serve as the pole's maid.

However, Sam cares about the girl. He wouldn't have the heart to do anything to her.

Sam shook his head weakly. He didn't know what to do. What should he do with Joe?

Sam left the room and headed for the library. He remembered that Bara had put the first aid kit there.

After taking it, he returned to the room to treat Jasmine's wound. Now and then the girl would wince when Sam applied the medicine to the wound.

Sam's hands trembled after finishing treating Jasmine. He felt very bad to find so many wounds all over the girl's body.

I don't know what Joe has done to the poor girl.

Sam's head felt hot and tight, he tried his best to undo his intention to meet Joe.

This is wrong. Joe must be responsible for what he did. Jasmine is not a tool that he can use as he pleases to vent his emotions. Even if he was drunk.

Such an excuse is unacceptable.
