Curiously and slowly, Afena picked up the parcel to put it on her desk. Dust was thrown up into the air, but she did not even notice it. It was heavy and bulky, which made her guess there would be a book, a tome, beneath the cloth she carefully unfolded.
Once revealed, the cover was embossed with a big image of the spider that had bitten her.
"Quite on the nose, Selen," the Inarenta said. "There's no doubt this comes from you, at least. There's something to be said about bluntness."
"Well, of course there is," she told herself opening the cover. "You've been convinced of it for years and years now. Bluntness should be the norm."
