Despite her sessions with the therapist that was present in the estate, her speech was not recovering fast enough. She had suffered from a stutter for most of her life and though she knew the sessions were steadily helping her, she always flinched in disappointment in herself whenever her stutter had come back to light.

"I told you to not apologize for shit like that." Alister grumbled back as he stared back at her now calmer face. She offered him a weak smile back.

"Look at me."

He cupped her face with both his hands, his fingers grazed the scars left behind by the burns that covered the majority of her left side. The damage had not been as bad as a month ago as the blisters were no longer present but the red marks were still clear.

Kamala did not mind her injuries bit it still hurt whenever someone would wince at the sight of her.

But at the end of the day, it was her opinion that mattered.
